  • The MX Master 2S is $98 or $99 @ Costco. But yeah membership and all.

    • Which store did you see it?
I was in Docklands store and couldn't see it is selling one.

      • The new Marsden Park one here in Sydney. It was a placard thing.

another new mouse I see. Time for a new product tag.

Can anyone comment on how dirty/discoloured the white ones get?

For those wondering (because I was!) what the difference is between the 2 and new 2S versions:

"Both mice feature improved hardware over their predecessors. The sensor has been upgraded from 1,000 DPI to 4,000, resulting in a faster and smoother tracking experience, and battery life has been nearly doubled from 40 days up to 70. The two mice are otherwise largely similar to the previous version, with the same design, excellent mechanical scroll wheels, and button layouts (although the new black-and-gray color is certainly preferable to the odd black/bronze model from the last generation.)

But the biggest addition is a new software feature called Logitech Flow. While the previous versions of the MX mice were capable of quickly switching between multiple computers at the press of a button on the bottom, Flow takes it a step further, by seamlessly allowing the mouse to switch between two different computers just like a single computer switching between two monitors. So, simply drag your mouse over to the edge of one computer, and the cursor will seamlessly pop up on the other computer automatically."

  • Anyone with experience using this and the mx anywhere/ master 2? I find that my master and anywhere 2 disconnects randomly when connected via the USB dongle or bluetooth :( Both great mice otherwise.

    • I have the original MX Master. I find that it's rock solid using the receiver, but it can be a bit flaky using BT. I suspect it's my laptop's BT (or stack) that's the problem - as it sometimes completely fails and I have to remove it through device manager.

      • Thanks O O. unfortunately, the disconnecting happens even when the mouse dongle's the only USB device connected to my laptop.

  • I can't get the code the fb page get code takes me to this page and not a code? anyone have any idea why? Thought it was popup blocker but I undid it and still can't access the code https://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/sales/Trending-Now

Dont buy this if you enjoy having a middle click button on the wheel.
Biggest waste of money i ever spent…

    • +1

If you want a middle-click on the wheel you can configure it that way. Personally I prefer to configure middle-click to one of the side buttons.

      • I need a middle click.. but aren't all Logitech mice configurable via setpoint or whatever it's called now?

      • The model i have is a physical switch that changes the scroll type.
Hardware switches are not configurable buttons.

        • The scroll wheel itself doesn't click down?

        • @CVonC:

It presses and changes the scroll type mechanically, its not a button.

        • @Danthemanz:

hmmm but AdrianW says it's configurable to be a middle click? can anybody else confirm? :S

        • +2

I know I'm not "anybody else" but - I have the MX Master 2 (not the 2S) and switching from freewheel to notched scrolling can be configured to any button, not just the wheel. It can also be configured to automatically switch between modes based on the speed you flick the wheel,

      • I have both the MX Master and MX Anywhere.

        The MX Master scroll wheel acts as middle-click and the small square button is the switcher between smooth scroll and click scrolling;
        EXCEPT
The MX Anywhere is the opposite! The wheel click switches between click and free-scroll and I programmed the square button for "middle-click".

TBH, I think it's a pretty major design oversight by Logitech when both similarly designed mice work totally different - BAD UX!

  • MX anywhere 2 (stone) at centrecom for $49 free c&c or add shipping if people were after that. I got one other day myself. Tried to post it few days ago as a deal but I wasn't allowed for some reason. 19th birthday sale.

    • wish I had seen this before I purchased the s2

Been using an MX Master for over a year now. Best mouse I've ever owned - worth every cent for day to day work.

  • Used the mx anywhere 2 for about a year now, cannot fault it. Also have mx master 2 as a backup. Both are great mice. Had to get 2nd mx anywhere 2 as backup. Great fit for my small hands.

    • The MX Anywhere 2 scroll wheel feels better than the MX Master one, do you agree?

      • +1

Yeah. there is more "resistance" to the anywhere compared to the master, makes it feel more premium for me. The Master feels kinda plastic when compared directly to the anywhere. Also the master has a bigger scroll wheel which doesn't suit my hands.

  • Does anyone know how I can configure buttons at work PC where installing the Logitech software is not an option?

    • Don't think you can without installing the control center from Logitech

  • right now the Ebay voucher code from Facebook is no longer online!

    • The code should be sent to your email account as well.
