Great game and, in my opinion, just a shame that the subsequent seasons didn't come close to matching the connection between the player character and sweet little Clementine

  • Shouldnt this belong to game category?

    • Im pretty sure it was when i did it last night.
idk if it could change based on the tag and i didn't notice.

  • Wow, a game worth full price that's free :O

Completely shook what I knew was capable of a video game and how much it could make you feel outside the screen.

  • Thanks! Played the trial a while ago and seemed pretty cool.

  • OP - deal expires 3am 10/09/2017 AEST.

    • I know that, what i dont know is how to set a time a deal expires not just a date.

Thanks for the post. I just downloaded this game, and never having played a "Telltale" game before, are the graphics meant to resemble something from the Windows 95 era?

    • +1

Which Windows 95 game do you think has that kind of graphics?

      • I said Windows 95 era - which is anywhere from 1995-1998. And it's not one specific game that the graphics remind me of, but just the general style of graphics from the late 90s.

        • Well, I cannot remember any game from that era with that quality level of graphics.
They might not look like call of duty graphics but they are still heaps better than anything from the era you mentioned. But of course I am happy to be proven wrong if you know of a game - clearly the graphics must remind you of some games as otherwise it is weird you could make such a statement imo.

        • @Lysander:

Well, after playing several other "old school" retro adventure style games, like the latest King's Quest, the graphics on this game are way behind the times (granted, this game is a couple of years older). Just take a look at the system requirements for this: Pentium 4 2 Ghz!! That's a CPU from 2001! What was the last game you remember that only required a single core CPU? Even in 2012?

        • @MrZ:

I would not necessarily go by the specs. Some developers can work miracles with very little. In the old school days that was necessary as they had no other choice.
These days developers do not need to be efficient as many people have got very advanced PCs and graphic cards.
Hence the enormous minimum specs on some games and the immense download sizes on some games.
If CPU and graphics are well optimised and work together well, then they can produce graphics as good as more advanced hardware that is not optimised I believe.
Plus, as far as I have read, most of the time the CPU is not the bottleneck in a system but the graphics or RAM.
Also, keep in mind that different game engines might be used and they all have their own look and feel.
I still think so that the 95-98 era produced worse graphics than TWD Season 1.
I cannot think of any game from that era having the same graphics quality.

        • @Lysander:

Look you're probably right, no game in that era ran in high resolution or 16:9 anyway, so they're not comparable in that regards. I think it's just more the art style of the game that's outdated. Some the scenes almost look like 2D drawings rather than proper 3D. After a while you get used to it, though.

  • This game kicks ass. Ty

  • Thanks OP!!
