    • Thanks updated

  • These are a great little machine - my only complaint is the lack of a numberpad.

    • Great if you like screens with terrible edge light bleed. Dell has replaced my screen 5 times and I still haven't got one without severe bleed. The techs that changed them have all agreed it's bad, and like me have concluded it's a design fault which can't be fixed.

It's a real shame because I like everything else and they are great bang for buck.

If you don't care about edge light bleed then I recommend them. I watch tv and movies at night though and the problem is too obvious then.

      • What model/year is this on? I was going to hold out for a Zenbook price drop but the non-touch Inspiron 13 looks decent for the price.
Not sure if anyone knows if the colour gamut is any better non-touch vs touch - reviews say the colour range on the Dells aren't great…

        • Current model. I'm talking about edge light bleed not colour.

  • I just purchased the dell 15 7000 very similar spec however 4gb 1050ti :) 256gb ssd+ 1tb HDD paid $1450 including the current "paint" promo code on eBay ! Very happy https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-7567-Gaming-…

    • That is refurbished though

      • Yep sorry thought I mentioned that part =)

  • Cheers. I need to get mum a new laptop, or maybe this 5000 for ~$325 cheaper (either will be a big step up from her Lenovo E520).
