Been looking for a good deal on LG G6 the last couple of weeks and came across this. I believe this is the lowest price for the phone in over a month.

Even though its slightly higher then the lowest price ($468) I've seen for this phone here but I thinks it still a good option considering the price hasn't gone down this much for a few weeks now.

        Yes yes its fine and dandy, until something goes wrong.

        DWI have prior form pissing all over Australian consumer law, and all over customers on warranty returns.

          Well they're not an Australian business, and they're not selling Australian stock, so why would they have any obligation under Australian consumer law? They're no worse than many of the other importers when it comes to warranty claims.

          I know they aren't, but they sure try hard to masquerade as an Australian company.

          But just because they aren't Australian, and by law they can get away with their varoius scams, doesn't mean they should be able to get away with it on social media etc.

          +1 to this. They will point you to some fine print on an obscure page of their site completely unrelated to your purchase which states something completely different to whatever the warranty on the product page is. The ACCC and NSW Department of Fair trading can't touch them.

          Their warranty is mud and so is their word. Will never touch them again, they do not trade in good faith.

      I was in the same boat, but I think by that time I'll be looking for deals for V30 instead :)

      should be easy to sell the G6 for around this price on gumtree when its time to upgrade

          lg G6 was down to 500 odd after roughly 4-5 months of release, if V30 follows the same trend then I am expecting deccent prices by Jan/Feb :)

      Q6 has a slower processor - 435 vs 821
      Single Camera vs Dual on G6 - Q6 camera is also f2.2 which is slower then G6 main camera which is f1.8
      5.5 va 5.7 inch screen
      Q6 has a FHD screen

      Huge difference.
      Completely different range, g6 is their high end high spec phone , the other is mid range much lower spec.

    I bought this phone for 800 from JB last week. It is a great device, and worth it even at retail price.

    I avoided purchasing an import due to the fact that I've had negative experiences in the past, and like the piece of mind of having someone to yell at if something goes wrong.

      Do they still do LED notifications on phones?
      LG V20, Motorola Z play and Elephone P7000 were my last phones and none of them had it.
      Having said that, the V20 has a second screen which i guess is a different notifier.

      dont use em at all, but I can see how this can be an issue for the person who is used to them. I personally think the Active Display is a good enough replacements and in some instances better.

      I would never pay $2-300 extra to go Samsung, just to get an LED notification though :)

      I'll also point out that there is no IR blaster in the G6 anymore for anyone who is used to that.

        For me, the biggest pro of G6 is wide angle photo.

        Otherwise I do regret not going for S8 since the price has dropped so much.

        oh man, notification LED and Irblaster are two things I use all the time on my G3. Might just buy another G3 instead of G6 lol. G3 still does everything I want in a phone.

          @dhlover: Mine spent another day sitting in the back of a Toll van and didn't get delivered. Getting fed up. Seal broken isn't the best but sometimes they claim to run QC checks on phones (turning them on then off again) before sending them out… I'll let you know when (if) mine turns up

          Got mine yesterday too… Seal was broken as well, plus had a few finger marks on the back. I think its probably standard practice and they do QC checks to make sure there are no issues.

          Couldn't find any signs of phone use but I still wasn't happy to see the finger marks at the back of the phone… Even if they are doing QC check I'd expect them to be a bit more professional about the whole process. Communication around seal being broken would also be nice.

          Overall happy with the phone though. The camera specially the wide angle is awesome. Quad Dac itself is worth buying this phone. Screen brightness in direct sunlight could be better but still useable.

          @tariqsaleem: Yeah I had some fingerprints on mine as well. Agreed, some communication around the broken seals would have been nice. I haven't had a proper chance to use mine yet, but impressed with the battery drain when the phone is idle.

          The phone feels premium but also is chunkier than I expected. Coming from a Samsung S6 edge.

          I got an email from DWI intiailly saying that its been sent on the 21st. Then on the 26th I got email from dpex/ffdx saying that order has arrived. Got the delivery next day

        15th here as well. I ordered the platinum. Also got the email saying it was shipped out on the 21st. Toll attempted delivery on the 25th, rescheduled delivery to 26th as no one was home.
