This seems like a killer deal, about $11 more expensive than this deal however it'll get here much quicker. Also about $14 cheaper than Kogan eBay and they don't have many available at all. Comes with a 1 year worldwide apple warranty also.

    This is the previous generation. Current generation iPad Pro already has an A10 chip.

  I have some serious concerns in dealing with Shopmonk. On the 3rd of Sept I ordered one of these from their previous deal and then 10 days later the order was cancelled without any warning. I re-ordered again (at $799) and the order is listed as being processed. I sent a message to them several days ago and have received NO reply. I have tried contacting them on their 1300 number but it just hangs up. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had similar problems.

  Get the 64 iPad Pro 10.5 WiFi+Cellular for that extra $30. Its all together a different league, I will still bit this at sub $700 though. Just about getting a US seller to list it in phones section lol.

    The 9.7" I have has wifi+cellular 256gB, 4k recording and true-colour screen, what version is that? because its awesome, I highly recommend.

      We don't have CTP in Vic. I mean we do, but it's part of Rego.

      But our Rego is like $800. Which is the price of this thing, except I already paid it for this year.

        You might know someone in a bad place who could really use the money.

        I have a 128GB Pro WiFI-only model and I am also trying to talk myself out of buying the 10.5 inch cellular one. I find myself using my phone as a hotspot away from home and I worry about battery too damn much.

        @albert0pia: These things are tested and rated to withstand the heat from normal use. As long as you're not using it in a desert and running the iOS equivalent of Prime95 or cpu-z, you should be fine.

  How can one tell if it is old or current model? The iPad lines is getting confusing ( iPad Pro 1, 2 etc would make thing easier) lol.

    This one (9.7") is part 2 of the first generation of iPad Pros. Each generation is defined by the computer chip it carries. The very first Gen 1 iPad Pro (12.9") was released in Nov 2015, and the second Gen 1 iPad Pro (9.7" - this one) was released in Mar 2016. Gen 2 (current generation) also has two sizes, both released in June 2017. The 12.9" was retained, but the 9.7" was replaced with 10.5". There is no 3rd Gen yet, won't be for another 10 months or so.

      Thanks. It is just confusing for an average consumers to work out which gen they are getting…Looking at the chip alone doesn't tell you if it is the current version or not, unless you happen to know what the current model chip is…lol
