Barilla, Italy's leading Pasta and Sauce brand, is celebrating 'World Pasta Day' on Wednesday, 27th October and Thursday, 28th October in Martin Place with FREE cooking classes and a unique Italian Trattoria experience from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Learn how to cook authentic Italian cuisine and enjoy the delicious pasta dishes on offer in a relaxed and friendly environment. Join the Barilla Chefs for a sumptuous Italian Pasta lunch, finished with a refreshing gelato.
Barilla's own Luca Ciano, Executive Chef at Casa Barilla, will be hosting five free cooking classes each day, at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. The five Barilla classes each day will go for 45 minutes and will teach people how to cook a variety of dishes that can be easily replicated at home. The Barilla marquee in Martin Place will seat 40 guests. People are welcome to attend as many classes as they would like to and there is no need to book. Bring a friend, send your PA or a team member who deserves a reward and join the fun entertainment.
Luca says 'Despite passing food trends, pasta has remained a part of family traditions all over the world. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for Italian cuisine and enlightening our guests on some of my culinary skills and recipes.' The Barilla Trattoria will be open from midday - 2:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and offers guests two pasta dishes, a bottle of San Pellegrino and a refreshing gelato for $10.00. To celebrate World Pasta Day $1.00 from every meal will be donated to the Children's Food Education Foundation.
