This is an interesting one. I was told by their social media team way back when that they don't take AMEX and only the one at The Star does because The Star said they have to.
Will try the QVB outlet over the next few days.
online accepts Amex. you can order online and collect in store.
But they only sell giant cakes online no? I usually drop by to grab an individual cake or some Zumbarons or etc.
they do have pastries and cake slices as well.

I'm really not sure what all of the fuss is about Zumbo. The outlet in Balmain is not inviting at all and their cakes are average.
I'm a big Zumbo fan myself. He definitely nails his Zumbaron flavours. Especially his satay one speaking as a peanut allergy suffer ahahahaha

For this deal, I am thinking of waiting until November (1st to 4th). To combine this with November shop small. Therefore it will be Spend $20 and get $15 credit effectively from both promotions.

The point of this promo is to say that they now accept AMEX. Before it was only their store in The Star that took AMEX because The Star said they had to.

Yeh, wife spent $20 on her card got $10 back. Was cursing at the time saying should have split to two purchases of $10 but obviously deal still works.

No, that would be a different scenario. I think the minimum $10 still holds.
Either spend $10 and save $5, or spend $20 or more and save $10.

So I can spend $6 + $14 to get 2 x $5 credits. This is same as what Closer and OP mentioned above
@spk: No, the terms stated spend $10 get back $5 up to twice. What we found is that if you spend $20 in one transaction they'll give you the $10 straight up.

what do people recommend i try from menu?
With this offer I've tried:
- Passionfruit tart ($7) - Very light and more on the sour side. I actually liked the crust even more.
- Decorated fondant ($8) - Brownie with macaron and berries on top. The brownie was too rich and powdery tasting for me.
- Almond croissant ($5) - creamy almond filling that is not too sweet. Will buy this if I visit the cafe again.
- V8 cakes in cappuccino and apple pie (2 for $20) - The cappuccino flavour was just right for me and I'm not a caffeine addict. Apple pie was more about the cinnamon.Used 2 cards and all these for only $20 after cashback! Thanks OP.
