  • This is a good value monitor, but this is RRP I believe

    • You're right, this is RRP. Didn't do much research on my part haha. VA2719-2K $299 everywhere.

Just thought it might be better value than the Korean monitors @ $299 locally.

  • I may have bought the last one out of current stock at MSY in WA over the weekend.

Great price even though it is RRP.

    • Hi @spiff
Are you able to comment on how you find the quality ??

      • +1

I'm not too much into the tech so can't really comment on quality compared to other monitors but the build quality feels top notch. Tilt adjustable but not height adjustable. No dead pixels or any other obvious issue. Connected to Xiaomi Air 13" (full HD) via HDMI and display at 1440p on the monitor works fine.

  • Yes bought one the other day and it's been at that price for a while now. Couple of things to note for those with ancient machines, it only has HDMI and data port sockets and my PC video card only handles 1080 resolution! Now I have to find a new video card I think?

    • what is your video card

      • ATI radeon 3000 I think

        • Much too old, you'd need something newer with HDMI 1.4 to drive this monitor at 1440p. Any card made in last 5 years should do it.

        • @scrimshaw:
Haha ok thanks, yeah it's a work pc. Is there a website that tells you which hardware is compatible/fits to each other?

        • @LGW:

Most modern computers can easily take in a graphics card with no problems, the bare minimum being

          1. It has a 16x PCIE slot. If your PC is so old it runs an AGP slot, you need a new computer…
          2. You have enough room inside the case. Then it boils down to whether you need a low profile PCIE card which only takes one slot and has a short bracket, or one that's normal profile
    • Data port

      DisplayPort?

      • Yes (I'm a noob!)

    • Your video card most likely can output >1080p but the HDMI port on your video card or HDMI cable does not (there are different standards). If you get a DVI-to-Display port adapter you will be able to use the full resolution on your current card.

  • Will this monitor display at 1440p via HDMI? It does not appear to have HDMI 2.

A friend is after a cheap decent 1440p 27inch, can I recommend this?
