        • @imahapyboy: basically ditto to what happened to me. Ordered this phone and took them over 2 weeks to cancel my order due to no stock yet they are still selling the same model on their website. Either they are lazy or they are wheeling and dealing with our money for 2 weeks before canceling orders. A good way to keep cash flowing I guess but just hope they don’t have your cash when they go belly up. I wouldn’t deal with them again on principle alone.

    Placed an order for Redmi Note 4x 9 days ago - got one response via ozbargain message saying "soon" - but apart from that they have not responded to any email. On their website my order is still "processing"

    • It took me 3 weeks to get one RN4X from another seller and that was with their standard shipping procedure.
      It also cost $24 more than Shopmonk.

    • Is the colour you ordered still available for order on their site?
      If not and you would be happy with another colour that is available email them. They did it for us.

    • Yep stil up as available - I ordered the Black one 3GB/16GB, next day they emailed saying would I accept Grey, I said Yes and would consider any colour they had in stock if it helped speed things up. Haven't heard back since.

      Its not the delivery time thats an issue. Shopmonk prices are undoubtedly the cheapest for the Redmi note range so it's reasonable to expect they're not sending express (though it was previous favourable comments about their delivery times that made give them a shot).

      It's the lack of communication and that apparently 9 days later nothing has happened - its still "processing".

      I've ordered phones on special from Ebay, AliExpress and Geekbuying in the past. The delivery has taken time but they have all at least dispatched within a week or sooner of the order being placed AND responded to my emails.

      • My package arrived via DHL yesterday - 15 days from order to delivery

        Given their pricing that's actually really good service - if only they were more overt in communicating their delivery timeframes or reponded to emails in a more timely way

  • Not this "deal" but its been 13 days for me now since I last heard from them after placing order on 26/09.

    Am contacting PayPal tomorrow for refund - 2 weeks from order date - fun!

    Once I add up all the time spent emailing them, commenting on OzBargain, sending the rep PM's on OzBargain, communicatiing with PayPal, then check and confirm I get the refund, then ordering another phone from AliExpress (like I should have done in the first place) this bargain priced phone is going to effectively be the most expensive item I've ever ordered online.

    Based on my experience with them, I just bought from other vendor even if they are $20 cheaper. Simply not worth the stress. If you factor in the headaches and wasted time trying to communicate with them, it actually turns out to be more expensive.

    • Based on other deals they seem to send all their orders via DHL. If so you can at least have some confidence that it wont just be left on your doorstep and can manage your delivery.

        • I got a mail from them saying that they are about to ship the phone. And they also provided me with the tracking number from AUSPOST that will be active on monday.

          I've sent them 2 emails so far and got the exact same reply from both of those. Here's hoping it ships soon!

    I contacted them and asked tracking no and they replied :

    "Sorry for the inconvenience, we are updating our systems and you will be able to view your tracking details in a weeks time, kindly ignore the message sent earlier."

    I called their 1300 no and tried 4-6 time with no luck.

    I believe I will get the phone but its stressful.

      Seems like they're stalling. I might start an ebay resolution just in case but like you, think they will deliver it eventually. I ordered the black but have not heard anything from them regarding its pending delivery. I sent them an email yesterday but got no response.

      It does seem odd that a wrong tracking number was provided though.

      I no longer think they will come good on their orders. As soon as I can i will place a dispute for a refund. I emailed them a few days ago and have had no response.

      For anyone else affected by this, i think its important that we all leave negative feedback for them prior to the issue being resolved, as once a refund has been made, we can no longer leave feedback.

      It seems as if all the negative comments about them were true. I was willing to take a chance seeings as they had a lot of positive feedback on their ebay account. But it appears as if they are indeed a very shady business. I'm just surprised that ebay would have had them in their "eBay hourly deal" given their track record.

      I'm almost wondering if they are like a ponzi scheme whereby they sell things, don't deliver on them, and use those funds to pay for their existing bills…

      I'm waiting till end of tomorrow as that is the last day of 'estimated delivery', if nothing happens by tomorrow night, i'll do the same.

        Was planning to cancel my order today as estimated delivery ended yesterday(3rd Nov). Just checked tracking and it seems to have been delivered. Will confirm once I get home.

    I was caught up in the z3plus debacle, it took a month to come, but this might give you guys some insight as communication is not their strong point.

    I lodged a paypal dispute, and a week later, on a Saturday, I had an email from DHL saying they had collected it in Singapore. On Tuesday I picked it up from my local DHL collection point, 2 hours later I received an email from Shopmonk with the tracking number. As the phone was all good, I lifted the paypal dispute, breathed a sigh of relief and was glad it was all over.

    They're just a bit unco, to be polite.

  • Last night received an email saying it is being shipped by DHL. This morning received ebay notification that it has been shipped with Auspost. I don't mind how they ship. Will be doing a video while opening the box. If its not intact I will return.

  • So I lodged a dispute with ebay when the ETA time frame had elapsed. 2 days later, Shopmonk sent the device off via DHL. It arrived today and all is good. It looks like a Malaysian version, which is dual sim and comes with an aftermarket charger to fit Australian plugs. In the box, it has everything in there, and device is brand new. Quite satisfied with purchase now despite the wait time.

    • Also received mine yesterday afternoon. Pity about the wait time but the device looks good!
