Yet another 10% off eBay sale. Not sure why it's not yet on ozbargain. Hmm, ok, it's only appearing on some of my eBay accounts, so looks like it's targeted :(. Sorry to all those people not targeted.

  • Isnt amazon.com.au coming to Australia soon? (Selling many goods etc?, not just books)

But still I love these great deals!!!

      • +27

He specifically said Amazon.com.au. No where in his post did he say Amazon Rainforest.

        • +1

          Haha

  • Weird it says "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

    • +1

      Same here

      • +2

Exactly the same response when I use it

      • +2

The code is not supposed to work until 4 Oct 2017 AEST. That's why it's not currently working. Try again around 10am AEST.

  • +4

Anyone know if a new 5% code has come out after the PINCH5 expired?

    • Not yet :(

  • Works for me, w00t! Great as I really wanted something but was waiting for a code.

  • Yay! I got this one.

  • +1

Yesterday we saw a 20% off selected stores post, had so many up-votes, yet only 4 mediocre 'deals' were extracted from the entire list of stores. One of those deals for a lego set that nobody wants…

    • +14

Try harvey normans, they sell $500 monster cables very good ones.
      Support the aussie battlers!

I heard the 24K gold plated HDMI cables actually make the signals travel faster.

        • +2

A guy argued with me how they do improve the quality of the image, he wasn't working at that moment, he really believed it.

        • -1

          ahah :p

        • @FabMan: Why are you arguing with hobos?

        • +3

@Munki: He asked me if I saw a real bright light, then complained that someone stole his pants.

        • They don't travel faster, just classier!

    • +4

The voting system on OzBargain has long been inconsistent. It does not equate to the value or quality of a deal. Its pretty much just a popularity counter. More votes = more popular. Thats all. And eBay posts are always popular for some bizarre reason, regardless of there being an actual deal/bargain to be had.

      • Also skewed towards electronics/IT deals.

  • Got it in a fairly inactive account thanks OP

  • Not for my account :(

  • +1

Tried using it on cart and doesn't work.

  • +2

    not targeted :(
but I feel better as I have brought a Xiaomi purifier 2 without discount 2 days ago

  • +2

    It's targeted.
Most of the targeted emails sent from eBay I was not on the list.

  • Nothing for me. I guess I've already received quite a lot of ebay vouchers already for being a fairly active member.

    • +4

I buy stuff on ebay all the time and get absolutely nothing back. Never on any of the targeted lists! Never reward the regular customers only the occasional ones or people who never use the account. Can't wait for Amazon to come and shake things up for all businesses.

      • That's true. Active account never gets any rewards. (Just sign up three eBay accounts for not been targeted all the time)

        • Hopefully it will bring a bit of a price war between the two sites!

      • +1
        • Yeh that was enabled a long time ago… It's just EBay, no need to reward a customer who has spent well over $100,000

        • @Monstalova:

I was just wondering today how much I've spent over the last ~14 years. I don't think it's that much though! Are you willing to share what you've bought?

        • +1

Done that, all it gets me is more spam. Not a single targeted offer.

        • Also did all that and have received absolutely nothing but spam. Think its time to unsubscribe.

        • +1

          @captaincabinets:
          Bought a car for $22,000
All models of PlayStation consoles and so many games.
Tens of thousands of dollars worth of clothes, sunglasses and shoes (hardly ever buy clothes from a shop). Thousands of dollars worth of computer parts and hard drives (around $10,000). TV's and electronic equipment (hundreds of Blu-Ray discs too). Furniture like desks and chairs etc. Jewellery and gift cards for presents. List is endless since 2006!

        • @Monstalova:

          Interesting. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Would have preferred the $20 voucher, got this instead.

I'm waiting for the Xmas coupons. And if there are none, I hear a certain large US online retailer will be here to eat eBay's lunch soon. I can wait a little longer for that if I have to. From the SMH: "Amazon could launch in Australia in next 60 days, says Citi"

Now watch the eBay agents vote me down, lol

    • +4

I'll give you a bit of buffer

    • -5

here goes the down voting ebay fan plebs

    • +2

this is a site wide code. Any price jacking would not be due to this promotion.

    • +2

What makes you think that a targeted sitewide discount caused one item which you were watching to increase in price?

      • -1

$84 since i been watching and was waiting for a code and today boom $89

  • Can also confirm that i am not targeted. Didn't receive an email and the code is not showing up in my account either.

  • Yay I got it. Ordered ipad pro from Officeworks Ebay, bargain, thanks!

  • Didn't get any email, but it's showing up in my active main account… ¯_('-')_/¯

    • Where can you check to see if it's active? Or you're just trying it against items in your cart?

      • It just shows at the top of My eBay…

  • Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

zzz, i don't know why i even bothered trying

  • Not working for me.

  • got it on 1 of 3 accounts

  • There's an hourly sale on tonight from 6pm. No idea whats on sale of if any good deals thou. $999 mavic pro combo anyone? ;)

  • Nothing for me. Damn

  • -1

    Bugger!

My first targeted offer in 6 years with Ebay - and there's absolutely nothing I want to buy!

I suppose if I looked really really hard I'd find something - but it's just too much effort.

  • How did everyone find out if they were targeted? Do you have to go to checkout and try the code or is there a better way?

    • I added an item to my cart and added the code to see if I was going to get 10%, and I did! Also a few hours later I got an email…

  • Works for me.

  • Damn it

no Non targeted offer's ? i cant seem to get these on any account regardless of the fact that im set to get all there Emails

  • Odd, works for me and I didn't get any email

  • Sigh. just spent $200 on ebay yesterday. I swear ebay are just screwing with me now, this is the 2nd time it's happened :)

    • +1

You'd think you'd learn the first time, or even before the first time if you're an ozbargainer. Don't buy anything on ebay without a code.

      • +1

        No kidding :)

  • I used this on the 99 dollars WD 2TB hard drive on Officeworks ebay store to get it at 89 dollars.

  • I tired this on a watch purchase from a dealer in Italy. It worked !!!

    Saved me $50 !!

    Thank you

    • -2

Which watch did you tire it on?

  • +2

Wanted to buy something (didn't get the offer), asked eBay chat if they'd provide a similar code and they advised

In this situation, as an one time exception I'd request you to please go ahead and place the order and pay the full item cost and get back to us with the >item number and the PayPal email address and we'll request a manual credit to be applied to your PayPal account.

Please be informed that the credit might take 10-15 business days to be credited into your PayPal account.

Please get back to us once the order has been placed we'll request the manual credit.

    Better than nothing! :)

    • +1

Just did the same thanks for the heads up about to buy a macbook!

    • BTW I bought something today and then emailed them (couldn't be bothered waiting for chat) to claim the 10% refund. Got an email within 30 mins advising of the credit. Thanks eBay & OP! :)

    • +1

      ^this^

      thankyou thankyou thankyou!

i hit them up on chat and they offered the 10% PayPal refund..a day after the promo code expired and I wasn't even targeted. you just helped me get $95!

      love this site!

  • +2

I didn't get the code but ebay applied it manually via live chat.

    • +1

Just tried and they gave me the same response as @h4lcyon above

  • +1

just had a chat and they were unable to apply the code but said that I can pay the full price and request a refund of 10% later
