Lexus 1% Comparison Rate Finance for 48 Months (Personal and Business Customers)

200

Nice rate if you have always wanted a Lexus and can't afford paying cash 💰 upfront 🤑. I don't recall ever seeing a rate this cheap with Lexus.

As usual final price and extras are always negotiable depending on your sales person and negotiation techniques 🤓.

Applies to new CT, IS, ES, RC, RCF, GS, GCF and RX models.

Time to drive in style OzBargainers 😎😎. See ya'z on the highway

Enjoy

Consider this. You're in a semi-serious car accident. In a 2000 Accent, you're dead. In the lexus, you open the door and walk away.

I'm not one for spending mega dollars on cars - in fact our currently family car was about 30k (bought in a tax effective manner of course) but safety is something i won't scrimp on. For the record the car is a current model passat - with autonomous emergency braking, cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, esp, abs etc…

I understand that its not in everyones budget, but when you're in a position where your net assets are where yours are, you really need to ensure your survival

      • Well said Matt, really puts things in perspective.

How much do you think they'll budge on price with 1% finance?

    • Perfect timing to put my order in for a Blue LC500 with tan leather interior.

Edit : does not apply to LC. Doh!

  • Finance on a rapidly depreciating asset? I'll pass.

    • See I'd rather do this than put my hard earned cash into a depreciating asset.

Pardon my ignorance but I always wondered what Comparison Rate means?

    • +7

Its the interest rate, taking into account fees and charges (application fees, brokerage etc..) based on a set of parameters. Usually a comparison rate will be accompanied by a set of fine print showing term and amount borrowed.

It stops financiers offering 1% interest but a $2000 a year account keeping fee.

This is the automotive industry equivalent of the Harvey Norman 0% 36 months intrest free bullshit. Full bore retail price plus fees and charges and anything else they can tack on. Some of these even have balloon payments at the end of them, so beware.

No bargain here. Financing a luxury car that will be worth 50% less in 2years, like footyboy said above. I’ll pass.

balloon payments aren't always bad. The car will always have some residual value. If you're only paying 1% interest, it may not make financial sense to pay it down beyond its depreciated value at the time you sell it. That money may make more sense going into the bank/other higher interest loans (such as a mortgage).

Of course, i agree, when you're taking up one of these offers, they won't bargain anywhere near as hard with you as they would if you were a cash buyer/external finance buyer

    • Yeah it ain't no Toyota 0% @ campaign price :)

I've scrimped and saved my whole life, as advised by the posters above. I mostly caught buses until my thirties, to save money. But eventually I've realised I am not going to live forever and that the aim of life is not to die with the maximum amount of money in the bank possible.

Horror of horrors, I bought a (second hand) Lexus. Everything involving it costs a lot more than my old Pulsar. But a year later I'm still really happy I bought it.

I know it's hard to imagine but there are some people for whom buying a luxury car is genuinely worthwile.

Best advice i received when buying a car was buy one that puts a smile on your face. There are plenty of choices for a safe, reliable, affordable great all round car that will get you from A to B but it's not always about that. I went with the my head on my first car purchase and was satisfied with it. I recently bought a Lexus IS350 F sport and i look forward to driving it everytime i get the chance. And for a luxury brand Lexus have a great reputation for reliability which is great because these types of cars are obviously expensive to repair and maintain.
