    Thanks as usual Furgus!

Nothing too exciting this week from Woolies, with the possible exception of the Ice Cream …. Has anyone ever paid full price for that Moro olive oil? Seems to be perpetually discounted by $30.

    • +1

Have to agree, there's nothing there overly exciting, but each to their own. I mainly get excited over cheap chocolate and sweeties! :D

ETA: How disgusting does this item sound?: Ready Go Eat Egg&Bacon Muffin 114g
      Is it like frozen? :S

      • sound like they are those cafe sandwiches that cost about $4 (which are nice) although a bit thick

    • Moro Olive Oil is terrible that's why. If you want good olive oil try Minos from Crete, Greece. http://www.minos.com.au/ It's hard to find but I always buy it from a fruit shop on Forest Rd Bexley just down the road from McDonalds. Try this Olive Oil and you'll never go buy another again. It's always under $30.

    Thanks again for posting this.

Fergus can you pls check the info you provided for the

    Coca-Cola Can Varieties 30×375mL, 3 for $34.00 (save $17.18, 34%)

I went online to check but they dont have next weeks catalogue up yet.

    If it is 3 x 30 for $34 that equals a crazy 37cents a can. Should it read 2 for $34?

  • -2

The olive oil is standard price 16.99 at Aldi for 4l (maybe different brand) … not a big fan of these specials when you always need to check the price.
I personally thinks it makes only sense to post the deals when they are really a bargain … this is a copy of Woolworth advertising … :-).

    • -4

I do agree. Fergus do a great job every time as usual. but few products are not worth specifying here. Moro is never a bargain.

      • -4

Agreed, i no i keep saying this but the list is getting a bit too long with irrelevant items. Fergi could you put a list at the top of the page with say the top 10 deals for the week, the gen y's amongst us will love you for it!

        • +5

I personally thinks it makes only sense to post the deals when they are really a bargain

Therein lies the issue, subjectivity…….what is a bargain to you may be of no interest to others, and vice versa.

Fergus draws the line at 25%, and publishes everything from that discount level and higher. Smart.

        • +3

just be great full someone goes to this extent. Otherwise either dont read it, or use the catalogue. Boo hoo if it takes up too much browser space..

        • +5

What's the problem? Just stop scrolling down at the minimum percentage discount you want.

          Thanks very much Fergus.

        • +1

          Ditto greenpossum.

Next we'll be having requests for Fergus not list any products with 621 listed in the ingredients

you could atleast spell the man's name right!

    Sarah Lee :D

  • Anyone tried the Tasty Bite Curries 285g? Or lived to regret it?

    • Yeah they are pretty good. Use Naan bread for dipping :)

  • Looks alright. just went tonight to stock up on those red pepper 50% off frozen thai meals. eating one now, the green thai chicken curry. so good!unforunately no more this week.

  • I seriously doubt the genuineness of these bargains. When is the last time you paid $50 for 4L of olive oil …if you do than this is a bargain. I prefer to look at this as a woolies way of exaggerating their discount prices. Sorry but woolies and coles have become too much like the the old corner shop with inflated prices and if I can help it I wont shop there anymore.

    • i dont think you have any clue about thier buying power or what a loss leader is

  • Wow, this has to be the most beautifully formatted ozbargain post I've ever seen.

  • BTW, some Woolies still have 36 can bricks of Pepsi for $15, left over from last week I think, if anybody needs topping up.
