Great drone! the 4K version shoot RAW file (photo) and the video in 4K is super sharp!

  • Bought one from the last sale. After a few flights it would no longer take off (the app didn't show an error or anything, and the drone was undamaged). After some fighting with Gearbest, they agreed to let me return in exchange for a new one. Anyone experienced anything similar?

    • You sure it was in a gps ok area i notice when the gps is not located it wont take off move a few steps to get clearence then take of

      • Same spot every time, my phone read "Can take off".

        • Fair enough glad you got it sorted im sure it would of been a pain :/

  • Getting conflicting information on the max range of this drone? Can anyone who owns please confirm. Thanks

You mean 500m vs 4km? By law recreational flyers have to keep the drone within visual sight and fly no higher than 120m above ground. While the drone is capable of flying much further and higher, it has a preset software-limited range of 500m and 120m altitude (from power-on location) to comply with the rules.

Even without disabling the software limits, it is possible to breach the rules. Flying downhill will allow the drone to exceed the 120m AGL max ceiling and some areas have altitude restrictions below 120m. You can use the "Can I fly there?" app to see what restrictions apply: https://www.casa.gov.au/droneapp

      • Thanks!

Looks like all of the Western suburbs of Adelaide are in the no-fly zone because of the airport. It's a larger area than I expected.

        • Lol i was there 2 weeks ago and as you stated a lot of no fly zones on the other hand if i had a dji i wouldn't of able to use it as the no fly zone diameter is larger on the dji

      • Easy to disable to the limitation?

        • Yes, you can toggle/set them at any time with the app's settings. Which means there's no reason not to fly with the limits enabled, and deactivate them when you've got experience and if you really need to for a specific situation - bit like a driver-controlled speed limiter in cars.

  • the coupon is not applicable

    • Keen on backpacks and batteries.

FYI the mi business(?) backpack is apparently a good fit.

I dont think the ones you linked are very good quality.

  • Can't seem to get shipping to $0. Any ideas?

    • Looks like the cheapest option is Priority Line - AU Express for me at AUD $3.71. No more free standard shipping on this.
