      I think it's because this company is using the "Free Shipping -15-30 days" method whereas the GB deal used Priority (7-15 approx days)? Don't have the option to pay any extra for faster shipping from DD4 it seems either..

          Might not be a dealbreaker for you, but I think others also like to buy from Gearbest because it's easy, they probably already have an account from another deal so it takes two seconds for them, whereas you need to make an account for DD4 if you've never used them before and it's probably annoying for some people..

      As @scrimshaw said you need to give your locale as 'Mainland China' for most of these cameras. Otherwise it will not recognise it. My camera didnt work even when I set it as SG.

    Do any of these Fang cameras come in black? It's a bit less conspicuous if it's black. You can throw it inside a dark cabinet and it won't be noticed.

    My dad who suffers depression and is suicidal frequently locks his room when he's upset which happens a lot. If he has a stroke (he also refuses to take his meds which include blood pressure meds when he's depressed) we'd have no way of knowing or saving him if we can't enter. With a hidden camera we'd be able to know if something happened to him and see what he does in there, and if we should break open the door.

    But if it's a white camera it's going to stick out like a sore thumb and he's going to know.

They'll know you did it deliberately.

        In a dark cabinet all it needs to be is the same colour as the rest of the electronics in there, which is usually black.

      Xiaomi is trying to be like Apple, so no, most of their gadgets are either aluminium silver or white.

      You should also consider the privacy and feelings of the person being recorded. I would assume you would feel angry, maybe even slightly spooked, if you discovered a camera that's been watching your every move while inside your own home (and you'd be wondering who the hell set it up and for what purpose). It'll be very awkward trying to talk yourself out of the situation.

      I highly recommend not setting up spy cams even in your own home for that reason.

    Mine arrived today. Managed to hook it up in Mi Home, but can't really get it to do anything. I've managed to see what the camera can see, but it's very choppy. It's currently sitting 2 feet away from the router, so connectivity shouldn't be an issue. I need to keep pressing the play button for it to stream on my phone, and suddenly it just stops streaming and stays on a static image.

    I can't see any controls whatsoever to control the pan/tilt. I don't see any of the controls like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=88&v=t8LnLd_XZaI.

    I'm yet to insert a microsd card, but assume it records?

    A bit underwhelmed so far, but hopefully that's due to user error.
