The fast charging pad from samsung, usually about $99 in store. Supports Qi wireless charging so it will also work with iPhone 8 & X, however the fast charging is only confirmed to work with samsung devices I think?

      Are those actually genuine? (and is this one genuine?)

      I remember the previous model had very genuine-looking ones which didn't work as well as the genuine ones.

      FYI your example listing has multiple reports of that exact charger being counterfeit so it's probably not a fair comparison even if Shopmonk has a bad rep for other issues at the moment.

        Yeah was trying to go through feedback of the various listings, but there's so many out there.

        Certainly wouldn't trust the authenticity of the ShopMonk option either. Unfortunately these are one of those things you go for a B&M store or maybe a known grey-importer (Kogan etc)

    This is from Aliexpress . Very hard to tell whether they are genuine or not.

        Agreed, I personally purchased a Blitzwolf Wireless Charger. Working very well, apart from heating up the device.

          Qi charging isn't as efficient as cable charging (induction), so there is a fair bit of waste heat generated - same issue with all Qi chargers.

          I think that's the way to go as well.

          I'd rather get a BlitzWolf than risking getting a fake Samsung.

          I buy wireless chargers to test them out, 3rd party like Tronsmart and Blitzwolf I think are better options than the Samsung.

          Wireless charging will heat up the device regardless of brand.

          My tronsmart wireless fast charger requires my phone to be really close to the coil - it won't work through my quadlock mount on my phone case. The genuine Samsung fast wireless charger works.

          @eug: Fair enough, usually noise of the fan on the Samsung chargers is the complaint.

    Mind you, the Samsung Qi charger has a fan that turns on when charging. Even the setting on my S8+ says that fans may turn on when charging. Just FYI.

    I might be misinformed but I've heard bad things about samsung qi charger. I heard from vodafone salesperson that it'll melt and will explode if you dont use samsung adapters.

        Yeah. I was pretty suspicious about it tbh. The Vodafone salesperson was bundling in bunch of crap items so I asked if we could get something better like wireless charger and that's what she told me.
