  • Any xiaofang deals?

  • I'm having trouble working this out for these cameras. Has anyone got one setup with Home Assistant? If so, is it possible to turn off the camera's access to the internet so that the footage doesn't go out through a Chinese server (or any other server that I don't control)? Or so far as these affordable cameras go, is it only the xiaofang that has this capability via fang hacks?

  • This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

    • Yep @clear can you update this please?

      • More stock allocated

        • I would like buy more then one, are you able to generate a code for me please with discounts as this code only valid for 1 x unit.

I would like to have 5 ty

        • Awesome, cheers

  • Can this Camera be use in-conjunction with multiple units and running of the same app?

    • I have a couple of the Xiaofang cameras and they all run in the same app. I can't view multiple streams simultaneously though.

      • oh that sucks, is it possible to view multiple streams simultaneously though, could it be something that you have not worked out.
Or is it simply does not support that?

  • How on earth do you get this camera to work??

I can only tell you what I did for Android, iOS I guess would be similar..

Get v4.3.11 of the app (Anything later doesn't seem to work properly.)
To use this camera, you must use the Mainland China server (may be written in Chinese, but will be the one at the top of the list).
You'll need to set up a Xiaomi account.
You camera should be plugged in and waiting.
Now you can add the device. The scan probably won't work, so Add Manually.
      Select this camera
Follow the prompts, to add your Wifi network etc.
The camera will speak, but it's all Chinese, no idea what it meant.
A QR code was then displayed on my phone, which I had to place in front of the camera to scan.

Going from memory here so with any luck, I haven't forgotten anything or got the order wrong. In any case, hopefully points you in the right direction.

      • Had to use the app - and change it to hong kong! that was the key.

  • I don't know if I have set this up incorrectly, but the live playback on this is laggy as hell! I'm on NBN 100/40 (AussieBB) too.
I also can only connect to it when I am on the home wifi, no luck with 3G/4G+

    • I am having the same issue. It actually worked great for a few days even via mobile. Now its just laggy or does not connect.

  • Are we able to add more to the code?
