  That's not just single fan, that's single slot which means it takes up only half the space of an ordinary GPU

  Unfortunately that makes it run hotter than Founders Edition model, a design compromise if you are looking at heat dissipation and also maybe louder as well.

    with a single fan, i don't think there will be much issue about heat and noise, except you overclock the shit out of the card but, i could be wrong

      Single fan & 'Single slot' = Noise & throttling issues with a GTX1070. This model is perfect for miners who can stick a few in an open PC for use not bothered by the aforementioned issues. The fan design looks similar to those used on Quadro single clot cards, so should be pretty silent @ default but the additional heat means the card will most certainly throttle during prolonged use.

        hmm, that means im wrong then, welp i never actually use a single fan card, and my friend's asus turbo is actually not that noisy, but i never actually know it will throttle, anyway, thanks for the insight

  Single slot GPU isn't that great for gaming you would need to underclock or it would get loud, this size is usually for work that requires SLI a bunch of GPU.

    I think only use this graphics card if you have multiple case fans to dissipate the heat. Especially some fans on the rear and top of the case.

      You would need really good rear fans. Personally would rather get Asus Dual @ $552 or MSI Duke @ $560 for gaming, although not discounted as much. My issue with these cards is the noise besides the heat at load. STill a good deal for work related though.

  Good deal for a GTX 1070, and Galax should be commended for releasing such a powerful single slot card for those who need the single slot form factor.

  Of course, being single slot means it's not the best in terms of thermals and noise, so it's not recommended for the general user. Only buy if you absolutely can't have a 2 slot card.
