        It will be when these kids enter the Adult World™ and realise absolutely no one cares about their feelings, and will continue to use whatever colour pen is appropriate.

      The actual story isn't as bad as you make it. They're forcing kids to respond to teachers comments, which are going to be written in green since red traditionally means "you got this wrong and don't question it".
