  • Here's a review for this laptop (same model but a worse processor?) with gaming performance benchmarks.

    https://thetechinsider.org/gaming-laptop-reviews/dell-inspir…

Anyone know if this thing could run Player Unknown Battlegrounds on low settings at even 30 FPS? If so I'll be buying this for my little brother.

    • +1

runs perfectly at 50+ at mid level.I am happy with mine for more than a year

      • Cheers mate, looks like I'm buying it.

For anyone else curious about it, I found a video where someone OC-ed the RAM and video card for this laptop and is getting pretty stable 60 FPS.OC will void warranty though so be careful.

    • Yep, another happy PUBG player here. It runs very nicely if you tweak the settings to suit.

If you would prefer to get one with warranty and an AU plug, and can afford to wait a while, they often come up at a very similar price at the Dell Factory Outlet: http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…

      • Thanks for the heads up. Might wait.

Yeah - It should be able to play on medium settings and get at least 35 fps.

It's old technology though. If you wanted something at a relatively similar price point with better specs - the E570p deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/324540) for $1,049 will probably pop up again some time.

      • You have a point, plus it would be nicer to buy direct from the manufacturer rather than Ebay.

        • Not so sure about that. There are a lot of people that like their Lenovos but then if you get a dud one apparently they are a nightmare to deal with.

  • Is the screen IPS?
