@Oz8argain: Yeah it was ridiculously good price. QD's customer service is good too. guy in office had a dead LG G4 after more than a year of purchase and they sorted it out for him instead of just leaving him to deal with it.
I ordered note8. now to sell the S8:P
@Oz8argain: yeah I'm in sydney. I have more than 5 cases I bought for it too. I'll put it up on ebay once the note 8 gets here.
@carlJack: ok got the phone.
the packaging was crap. it was just the phone box in the courier's satchel. Not a bit of bubble wrap in sight.
the phone has a amaysim sticker over it to say their technician has inspected the phone. So original seal is gone. The phone had a few finger prints on the back too.worst of all, no invoice in sight. I called them straight away and to their credit, a case was lodged immediately and an hour later, i got the invoice via email. it does have ABN and GST. I'm also working with them on the packaging issue. I'm not happy since the phone might have been knocked about during transit to create more problems down the line! It's got glass everywhere and is certain no Nokia!
@rexii2300: damn.. thats bad. 1000 dollar phone without any bubble wrap..? thats really stupid. Amaysim needs to gets their shit in order.
@carlJack: yeah, they shipped it fast and got it in a week but I rather have them take an extra day to wrap it first. Even my $1 ebay items are wrapped better than this thing.
AU stock?

For that price, its the grey. They do sell the AU stock for more $. Both grey & AU stock seem to come with 2yrs warranty.

In case anyone is wondering, I asked whether they really did have a dual-SIM version (as listed in their specs), and apparently they don't - both Australian and direct import stock is single-SIM

Me too. They had to go find the answer though, so I have some suspicion that it's not an accurate answer. Perhaps ask them specifically whether it is N950F or N950FD for both AU and direct import?
I was thinking the same. Most of the overseas models are dual sim unless its a snapdragon version which this isnt.
ok.. I am told that its N950FD. Looks like it is a dual sim phone.
So I interrogated and they said the info they provided me is wrong. The N950FD is dual-SIM and that is the direct import version.
Looks like I'm getting my Note 8 soon!
Does this still get the Screen replacement thing? Is it by end of this month you need to register?

check the samsung webpage. basically you have to buy the note before the end of this month. then claim it before mid nov.

Problem is who are you going to get to repair your phone? Samsung AU won't repair grey stock even if you pay them.
Its only for screen replacement. you can get it repaired anywhere. It doesn't have to be Samsung Authorised repair.
FYI the other colours are $50 less than black :|
If anyone is wondering about delivery timing, I ordered mine last Wednesday, got a message yesterday to give them a different address (they can't deliver to Parcel Locker), so I received it this morning. 1 week from order to receipt.

I asked for invoice by chat afterwards and got one. It had GST on it, but the calculations were a bit weird. I didn't bother chasing further as I don't plan on claiming the GST back.@madpig83: ah ok. I had the same weird GST when I asked for the invoice. Still waiting for then to get back to me. Looks like i was the only one where they didn't both to bubble wrap it :(
@carlJack: amaysim rang me and said they will look into this invoice, along with my other phone issues. There should be a proper tax invoice. I'll let you know how it goes.

Anyone able to register the warranty and screen assure? my one saying IMEI and Serial doesn't match.
Darn this is so tempting! Got my S8 for a stellar price from the 20% eBay deal but it was always going to be the temp device until note 8 is out.
If this is direct import I'm thinking amaysim might drop price further Xmas time to compete with the eBay sellers?
