      Don't forget discounted eGift card

    • Didnt know Woolies did 1 point per dollar spent.

Pretty worthless points.. 2000 points for $10 value.

        0.5% cashback equivalent

Im quite sure this is the same as FlyBuys though.

        • @Trishool: You get "Bonus" Flybuys points though. eg. 1000 points to buy a $5.40 loaf of bread. So works out at $0.40 for the loaf.

        • @Tiggrrrrr: Sure, but those are not common, and may not always be the item you like, prefer or need. Bonus points are great if they fall into items you normally buy, or avoid buying because of the actual cost but would buy if on special or deliver additional bonus points that make up for the cost. I personally prefer FlyBuys…recently just got a Samsung 8" tablet out of it, and seem to clock up points much faster with FlyBuys than Woolies, given how many additional stores its supported at (eg Kmart, Target, etc).

        • @Tiggrrrrr:
how does one get flybuys with woolworths?

        • @Peccadilloes:

My reply was to Trishool, in case you missed the Dark orange @Trishool.

          ie.

Hence it's not the same. FlyBuys is better.

1gb ram. Is the bane of these budget phones.

Yeah my Alactel Pop 3 5" is a pain to use despite a lovely screen and decent sound. Just laggy!

      • Yeh would rather then skimp on the screen or other features.but more ram. Can't imagine an extra GB would cost that much.

        • Maybe the extra gig requires other hardware changes too…?…

        • @Tuba:

More likely to do with price differentiation. If you can get a perfectly good phone for <$100 why would most people buy a flagship? But it doesn't matter what kind of user you are. A laggy phone will irritate and push you to a higher end model.

You can do a lot in 1GB. It's OK if not switching between apps a lot.
My kid has similar. I'd be more worried about the 8GB of storage, which can fill very fast with apps.

For heavy use with web and maps, 2GB + 16GB should be the minimum these days. But $75.

Spend a bit more and get one of cheap xiaomi phones. Much better experience.

extra 512 meg ram is worth it. but no information how to unlock it is a concern

  • The blade is $49 which I though was the same specs?

  • 1GB sucks.
    But 75 bucks!
