8.9" no good too small, the ACER emachine is better.

ASUS build qaulity blows Acer out of the water.

      • Not in entry level netbooks pal; it's six of one, half a dozen of the other! ;)

It's a netbook, it's meant to be too small to do anything useful on.

  • Ah. Didn't see the screen size.

  • This is designed to be a small, portable netbook.
Good price for entry-level, & it gets good reviews on the net.

  • probably my fingers are not big but I found the keyboard small but comfortable.
ps I really like it as a netbook. matt screen is a big plus by the way.

  • You lised all those specs, but you should also mention that it's Windows XP ;-)

    • Done.

Blame the other guy that post it last month :P

8.9" No wonder my wife got excited until I told her it was a laptop:)

  • It would be interesting to rig up as a server, with some creative ways to gain access to the SATA port.

  • We have a 8.9" at home. Or maybe its a 8"….anyway, i don't even bother to use it so i palmed it off to a sibling. Imo screensize is way to small. Its designed for infants.

If you want a netbook, get a 10" MINIMUM

    • "We have a 8.9” at home. Or maybe its a 8”….anyway, i don’t even bother to use it so i palmed it off to a sibling. Its designed for infants"

This sounded so wrong till I read "Imo screensize is way to small" AND "If you want a netbook, get a 10” MINIMUM

      Couldn't agree more! :)

  • how many USB ports does it have?

    • -1

Two, if it's like the other ones in this series I've seen! ;)

      • wrong! all asus netbooks have 3

        • It appears you are correct, sir! I'm not really into netbooks! :p

I looked at one more closely today and it indeed has a third on the left side that I'd not previously taken note of in my brief encounters! My bad!

Soft reason for a neg though, HTFU! ;)
