    • When was that ?? just curious

    • +2

Agreed. That was just before Christmas 2009, making this probably the best deal this year.

Will Apple adjust iTune item prices to reflect current AUD/USD exchange rate? We are still paying 20% more than we should per item.

    • No.

    • -1

it used to be 80% more when we were paying 1.99 for 99c usd items

      • Did we ever pay 1.99 for USD 0.99 items?

        • yes

        • -3

No, it has always been $1.19, at least for apps. Ever since the app store opened, not sure what this guy is talking about.

        • music…

  • Can we buy iPhone/iPod apps with these cards or only the iTunes music?

    • +3

      yes

    • credit can be used for all purchases on the iTunes Australian store : apps, music, tv, movies, books, audiobooks.

  • wii play + remote for $39 isnt bad either.

  • Nice one! Thanks mate!

  • Do iTunes cards have an expire date?

    • +12

      Yes
10mins after you scratch the panel to reveal the code it will self destruct.
Sometime I use the camera on my phone to take a photo just incase.

iTunes cards do have an expiry date. It is normally like 20 years (or longer). Basically, they are not suppose to expire, but an expiry date has to be put onto each card.

It is okay to stock up and give them out as Christmas gifts. However, as with all prepaid cards, it is best to use them as soon as possible (at least transfer the credit to your iTune account(s)).

Pretty sure it's 1 or 2 years (my card expired recently)

        http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/au/terms.html

"If any Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, Content Code or Allowance is non-functional, Apple will replace such non-functional Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, Content Code or Allowance. Your statutory rights are not affected."

"DORMANT GIFT CERTIFICATES, iTUNES CARDS AND ALLOWANCES

Gift Certificates, Allowances and iTunes Cards, and unused portions of Gift Certificates, Allowances and iTunes Cards, expire on the later of, two years from the date of issuance, and two years from the date of last activity if applied to an iTunes Store Account. "

Very nice find :) If they don't have any physical cards left, if they're like Big W, you can just go to the register and have a voucher printed out with the code on it.

    • Yes, Kmart does vouchers at registers :o)

    http://www.itunesonsale.com.au/
This site has all the itunes sales listed… currently Aust Post have 50% of your second card… so 2 times $50 for $75, 2 times $30 for $45, etc

    • Thanks for sharing.
I can get further 5% off as I am a staff there.

      • I didn't think staff discount applied to itunes cards….

  • Noob question here. But can we use itunes cards for iPad apps?

    • +3

Yes. You can use them for anything in the iTunes and App Stores.

You guys do know that Officeworks are obligated to match these guys and 5% off the price too. :).

    • every time i try to get office works to price-match iTunes deals - they always try to squirm out of them….it normally takes ~15mins to get the transaction approved and processed - normally better off just going to the original seller. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

      • +1

You got officeworks to price match?
Last time I couldn't even get Kmart to honour their own 2x$20 cards for $30 promotion even though the current Kmart catalogue with the promotion was at the front of the store.

        • +2

I get officeworks to price match itunes, last time I got 10x $50 cards for $33.25 each. This is better than that deal though.

  • I feel like I'm obligated to get this as a bargain, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with $60 worth of apps.

    • Metroview Australia is $25 Sat Nav app, aussie made and much cheaper than TomTom etc.

  • Nice price

good deal, but I will wait for BIGW to strike back. 50%!!!

  • Just dropped by the local 24 hour Kmart on the way to work and picked up my $60 worth of cards. This should keep me going into next year wi the opportunity to obtain an Office-equivalent app.

  • Just grabbed a couple from Southport (QLD), they had probably 30 left on the main stand & another 50 or so on the AV counter, don't know if they had more out the back.

  • Just got Officeworks to price match, and voted in the other thread, but thought this one deserves a + too.

  • Officeworks Aspley (QLD) just matched, no problems at all. Christmas solved!

  • great deal just got 20 cards last night from K-Mart.

  • great deal, got some.

  • Went to K-Mart Indooroopilly, Toowong, Chermside, Mt Gravatt, Sunnybank (saturday morning) staffs said sorry they're gone. Forgot to check at K-Mart Toombul :)

    • Just had someone buy some for me from Kmart, Toowong. Not sure how many were there but they have the $30 cards again.

  • A friend of mine went to K-mart immediately when I showed him this, and grabbed some for me, too. Now I can finally buy apps (As I don't want my CC details on my apple account)!

  • Just went to K-Mart in Broadway Sydney…they still have heaps of them…hope this info helps =)
