I would have probably gone for it if it wasn't silver, but space grey is $80 more.

    • Austin is great, I used to use them for nearly everything since I was like a block away, but now I have a choice living faw away from everything, PLE ALWAYS gets my business!

TL;DR Austin is probably one of the most reliable to buy from for pc stuff in the ebay deals.

    • Buy from computer alliance way better

  • Any recommendations for a beard trimmer? Shaved shop have a few Wahl ones although not sure if it is worth it over a cheaper Phillips?

    • I have the Wahl lithium ion one. It's very good and has a ton of reviews on Amazon. Well worth the extra money IMHO.

    • All the hairdressers use Wahl.

  • This might seem like a daft question - but how do I buy now and pay later. Tried with a few listings and I cant seem to commit to buy without paying via paypal immediately. I'm assuming this is because seller has selected "Instant paypal payment required" but can anyone list an item that allows for deferred payment - or can take a screenshot of what I should be expecting after I click Buy Now. Have now tried about 10 listings and all seem to want immediate payment.

    Thanks

  • Here's a share for anyone looking to build off their new ryzen (or other cpu/starter parts) with the eBay deals from ehre tomorrow, I personally am building a few rigs and I also build/upgrade rigs as a side job when I'm not dealing with Australia's internet backbones. It's just a personal discord, feel free to leave after the event. I'll be pretty active there tomorrow and more than happy to answer questions. Only dropping this link in 1-2 places, feel free to invite friends.

  • So I took a screenshot at 6/11 10:43 of a product I was interested in, from auto8, offering 10% off. Immediately after midnight, the 10% was gone, so back to full price.

Is this sort of practice allowed?

I mean I guess they can just say "We were having a sale that ended on 6/11", but its a bit immoral. Surely they know the sale is coming up and they planned it that way.

  • Hi, has anyone got any recommendations for a budget 14 inch (or slightly smaller) laptop for an 8 year old? Hoping for about $400 before discount. Just for web browsing and some very light tasks like word processing etc. She has a tablet but likes to borrow her brother's laptop, likes the keyboard etc.
    Thanks for any advice

    • Have you considered a keyboard case for your tablet if they have them?

    • Check out the HP Stream.

      Cheap, blue, great value.

    • This has always been very popular but it only has an 11 inch screen. My friend bought one to use for web browsing, checking her emails, watching youtube/movies, occasional ms word, excel powerpoint work etc and she has been very happy with it.

It's $399 but works out to be $319.20 after 20% discount. Available in blue, white and red.

  • my-phonez has price jacked. 1089 to 1174 on the iphone 8 64gb. Anyone got the original link for the silver? Have the gold in my cart and remains at 1089.

    • Still says 1089 on my search… i'm looking at the 64gb gold too.

    • Better check the negative comments of this seller, selling grey import Samsung S8 as Australian stock.

      • k jacked in my cart to 1300+ what a joke

        • This sale is totally a joke!!!

      • Hey Mate,

I saw that negative comment as well. What I noticed though is that they have 99% positive feedback from ~6000 comments but I always read the negatives just to get an idea. I also noticed that they sell the grey import s8 separate to their AU one. It could have accidentally sent the wrong version.

I've decided to take a punt and buy an S8 from them myself. I bought it at exactly 10am which was 30m ins before they price jacked the item, in fact they've price jacked it twice since that time. If it turns out to be the AU stock it's a huge saving for me, but I'm willing to take the punt because the positive/negative ratio is heavily one sided.

In attempting to avoid confusion I actually emailed them myself to please send the Australian Version stock of the Samsung S8 asap so I can get it on friday as the mail estimates and I received a really bad broken english response.

I'll let you know how I go if you like.

        Here's hoping.

    • What is a really good price for an iPhone 8 64 GB Australian version ? I am not an Apple person but need to buy one for wifey as Xmas present….lol….

  • I did a search for a tv I want using the link and one comes up at Appliance Central - I can’t actually see that store on the list though. Maybe the link in incorrect?

  • Gamesmen COD WWII $72 yesterday
    Today $84

  • Hmmm PS4 worth it with 20% off? Or will there be better on the way?

    • We'll probably see a bundle over the holiday period, but I wouldnt expect another price drop after the mid year one.
We could see the mid year one day sales return though, depends if Xbox and Switch make a dent…

A good switch deal for the holidays should see Sony respond.

  • For those who don't have an Amex, the Nintendo switches haven't been jacked up yet. Should be able to pick one up for $400 if the prices stay as they are. Not getting my hopes up though…

  • price jacking!

  • +1

Ah yes, 450+ positive votes to reward pricejacking. Brilliant.

    Good job guys.

And people wonder how these dodgy eBay stores keep on getting away with it.

    • +1

Tonnes of things aren't jacked up at all.

Don't be a douche about it man.

    • The Shaver Shop didn't jack up prices. Yet.

    • Gentleman, start your price jacking!

  • Miele C3 Cat and Dog purchased for $360 pretty happy with that :)

  • I can't take these non-site wide ebay sales seriously. I mean, when you're selling things for higher than the RRP AFTER the 20% discount, there's something terribly wrong. Look up the prices of the iPhone X, Apple Pencil, and the iPad smart keyboard for example. All higher than what I can buy it for at the Apple Store! I can't wait till Amazon is finally here so we can have proper competition.

  • Note. Postage is added after the discount code.

  • +1

my-phonez jacked their price up for Iphone 8 Plus from $1,449.00 to $1,738.80. Apple RRP is $1,479.00.

    • +2

Haha, that's ridiculous. What's the point? Ebay is taking the 20% hit, they'll keep their profit margin. They're just greedy.
