In my experience kaspersky is one of the better antivirus programs and the price is certainly right :)

I'm going to test and see if use of different email addresses combined with a different proxy works to get multiple keys. If so I'll edit this post with instructions :)

        i'm glad the post hasn't been deleted as i've now managed to get kaspersky for free.. and have switched the language to english (see my post below for instructions).

        only had 2 days left on my norton subscription.. and i much prefer kaspersky.. so this is sweet timing.

      Actually I have only tried the code with English version doesn't work, so I assumed only work with simplified chinese version.

    Kasperky is trying to gain more antivirus market in CHINA due to the current war between the antivirus 360 and QQ Tencent.
    - 360(not NORTON, but the most popular and largest antivirus share in china).
    - Long story,…. to woo , Thus the free 1 year subscription.

    this is only meant for china….

    so… forget the hassle, and get those free antivirus outthere like antivir, avira, avast etc..

    It provides a very clear explanation.

    Need not use a proper email cause activation code is provided on subsequent pages. Proxy not necessary, need to clear cookies prior to re-submission of another email add to generate another code.

    i used this as a guide:

    after installing, i followed comment number 15 (chronologically.. ie: from bottom of the page)

    i didn't have to enter safe-mode to switch it to english.
    i changed my SkinSwitchDisabled from 1 to 0.. then hit shift-F12.

    to download.. i recommend a download manager as the servers seemed a little overloaded.
    i recommend 'DownthemAll' addon for firefox.

    edit added:

    the download links are on that link.
    they don't seem to be dodgy.. i went to kaspersky.cn and kaba365 and it168 servers seem to be official servers for kaspersky in china

    Thank you Op for this post.

    I've just installed it and it is now licenced for 1 year.

    For User of Windows 7 64 bit. To change from chinese to english, instead of going to the registry of:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP11\environment\ in my registry.

    You need to go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP11\environment\

      After successfull installation of this, I was pretty wrapped. Unfortunately, it did not last long as due to default settings with Kaspersky, clicking on buttons on websites did not bring up the page I wanted. Also mouseover drop downs no longer appear.

      I tried fiddling around with the settings but I assume I am not tech savy enough to config it or I cannot find the portion where it is blocking this. So I've uninstalled it. Good for those who know how to config it properly.

    WMP and some windows gadget got all errors from some reviews on a forum. then, some of them may successfully installed it. however, after restart it, it said, license:error. I dont know what it means. But, this one is really tricky.. be careful.

      yeah, i already uninstalled, seems not working on my win7 probably, my gadget, fb, hotmail. are not working…switched to norton again
