      1. Yes, the nvidia shield will be far superior to a chromecast.
      2. Don't try and stream over wireless. Cat6 everything.
         3a. Network share your files on your Hotway via you Windows PC. Access those shares using SPMC app on the nvidia shield.
         or
         3b. Setup a Plex server on your Windows PC. Use the Plex app on the nvidia shield.

        Thanks zeggie. Is SPMC a modded version or addon to Kodi (only dabbled with Kodi once years ago on xbox and didnt get the hype then)?

        I think my cables are a mix of cat5e and cat6, should probably just re-cable the whole room… just to be safe :D

        Looks like this deal has ended price is higher?

        cat5e will be fine. cat5 I would replace.

        SPMC is a fork of Kodi/XBMC from one of the original guys who helped make it for Android. It's focus is entirely on Android.
