Used similar adapter to create TV from old Set-top Box & LCD VGA monitor that were being discarded. Added scrounged PC amplifier for sound. Certainly no 4K but very cheap & small TV 📺

Simlarly could be used with any HDMI output device like DVD Player.
    Bought another 2 - THANKS😀

Thanks OP this will come in handy for some older projectors I have in the garage

  • If I saw this yesterday Ill buy it but brought one for $6 on ebay yesterday

    • cancel and re-order?

    • oh no! You can always get another

  • Got 2 hdmi to usb c, and 2 dp to vga adapters for work. The dp to vga adapters have both failed within 2 weeks, the hdmi to usb c adapter failed on day one, the other flickers now. Don't expect these to last

    • Were they from GearBest?

      • Purchased from ebay, however they are identical. Can attach photos if need be. My suspicion is it's the cable attaching to the square housing, its flimsy. I replaced the rest with $14 dell adapters, been fine for months since.

        • generally the suppliers for generic things like these are the same

          @hmtk:

Just for reference I paid $4 for them on ebay, and bought one from centrecom for $8. However the second time i went to purchase from centrecom as i needed a quick replacement for the failed ones. I was not allowed to purchase it, the moment he scanned it. It popped up as a safety recall on his screen and he popped it in some basket. So had to order some Dell ones in from CPL.

The deals good, just be wary of the quality

  • How safe are these? Might get some for work lol

    • If you are worried about damaging your devices, that won't happen so it's pretty safe in that aspect

It says that the code has expired. Is anybody else having this issue?
When I actually enter the code it puts the price back to $4.88. Tried this on one item or multiples of them.

    • new code added today!

  • I reckon most of these are gone before it even shows on OZB main page. Those in the know monitor the "New Deals" or from an alternate post showing "up and coming" GB specials?

    • and that's how you never miss a deal. Deals with >20 upvotes show up on the main page. Many users don't even upvote or have an account so yup
