  I was super interested in the ESP8266 with relay, until I read this in the documentation: "Wifi relay module need to reconfigure if restart". It appears it's not an Arduino device, and can only be controlled using AT commands.

    I thought it sounded cool too.

    Really not that useful if you have to carry a laptop around with a serial adapter to reconfigure it each time it's turned off.

    Unfortunately IC Station have some stuff that looks great but the terrible translations mean the products are essentially worthless. I'd buy heaps of stuff from them if they had real descriptions and instructions. The majority of their products couldn't be given away, because the people who would understand how to use it require specifications which aren't provided, and the people who don't know what it is won't buy it.

    I've emailed them suggesting they hire better translators, but received no reply. Pity!

      I actually find their descriptions really useful and they sell legit electronics compared to what you'd find on eBay.
      I bought an amplifier board from them and bought the same board from eBay and ICStation's was much better quality.
