Galax nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 Katana OC 8GB - $479.20 Delivered - Futu Online eBay

PREZZY

Seems pretty good for a 1070 <$500, from eBay, Ozzy stock.

You'd probably need good airflow in your case to compensate for the heat generated on this as it's a single slot card so won't have the best cooling/fans on board.

  • You know for how much money you save you could strap on a $50 water cooler from MSY and chuck on some heatsinks on to the VRM's and memory modules. Defeats the value proposition of the card but it'd be fun!

Will cost more then $50 water cooler. As the NZXT or aftermarket bracket to use a AIO on GPU's must use Astek compatible which aren't below $50. But perhaps the $50 to $70 on a more expensive 1070 with proper dual stack cooler is prob much more beneficial

      • unless you have plenty of airflow in your case already? or does it really need to be directly built into the card?

      • Nah I meant going completely ghetto with zip ties and such. I've modded my r9 380 and old 570 this way and I've seen it done on Pascal.

Makes more sense to tune into one of the $530 deals that have been popping up instead but if you want to be a little adventurous it'd be neat.

These are a blower type card. So they use the fan to blow heat out of the back of the case. So these are actually recommended to be used in smaller cases where air flow is not the best. Problem is that they are loud.
