Surely they understand these sort of "ridiculous absurd obnoxious" deals where most of us, accordng to them, will get "nil, zero, zilch, nada" will do more harm to their brand than good by frustrating a large contingent of their buyers?

My negative vote is based on the fact that I successfully got and paid for an item and my money got refunded without explanation. It's happening again and again!These things are really just ads for the sites rather than genuine deals at this quantity.

Yes, but this isn't open just to OzBargain, it isn't an exclusive. So 5 to OzBargain community that spoke up, maybe more, and 45 to others. 50 units is good enough.

They lose money selling at the crazy lottery prices .. so they want to minimise the loss.. its 100% advertising for their website ..nothing more … so they lose money to advertise no loss really.
Do they have ads on their website? The amount of people refreshing at exactly 8pm would be huge, the amount of non-unique impressions would be insane.
