  • I assume that this doesn't apply to people who already have panels, government funding, etc. Is that right?

    • -4

Until January you can still get government funding and it depends on which Distributor area your property is located like United and Jemena network allows generally more than 5Kw Inverter limits on 1 phase.
If you have more roofspace to add more solar panels and you fall under one of these distributor or you have 3 phase supply.
You are eligible to take advantage of this deal.

Government rebates are available past January tightwad. The value of the rebate reduces by less than 10% at the end of the year (equates to a few hundred dollars for most people). Factoring in reduction in the cost of systems, prices will be very similar from now until early next year, don't be pressured by comments like this.

        • I have a solar system. I was wondering about a second one for storage in batteries.

I want to power the electric helicopter I'm building*

*OK the last bit isn't true :)

        • @tightwad: Haha You do have Sense of Humour Tightwad …

Mate can you tell me what sort of existing Solar System you have and what is your Daily average usage on your power bill and can recommended what size battery System will be suitable for you!
We do offer Solax Batteries ( Which is manufactured by LG Chem ) or You can buy LG Chem both do great job
Solax comes in 3.3KW and 6.5 KW
LG Chem Resu comes in 3.3 KW,6.5 Kw ,9.8Kw

        • @SOLARSEED:

I have a great FiT, so I want to export my excess to the grid.

A second system that isn't eligible for government funding due to the fact that I already have one would have to be separate from my existing system, but if I had batteries to capture that energy and use it (helicopters, Orgazmatron(TM) for the missus, etc, then it could be worth it.)

        • @tightwad: Unofrtunately if install another system on property with same address and meter number your FiT will change.
I guess better to skip the idea.

        • @SOLARSEED and froodh

I wouldn't connect it to the meter/home circuit at all. It would be completely independent AFAIK. Although, I would need to be sure before committing.

        • @tightwad: It has to be seperate off the Grid System but generally where there is power supply available its harder to get the pre approval and its quite pricey!

        • @SOLARSEED:

Ok. Thanks. Just a dream. I still haven't perfected the electric helicopter. It keeps crashing! Orgazmatron(TM)seems to work….

        • @tightwad:

do what half the world does, and just increase your system size slowly - the wholesalers never check

    • You might lose a premium feed in tariff - check with your power compay

      • Don't connect to grid, and don't tell your power company.

        • Thanks. That was the plan!

For those considering this "deal": Some installers out there will nickname Zeversolar by rotating the first letter anticlockwise 90 degrees.

    • -3

      • Change the Z to an N

        • @Burnertoasty: guess he means Neversolar? correct me if i'm wrong.

        • @0031nek: I Figured that one out but in Budget Range we can do Zeversolar,Solax, sungrow, goodwe either one of them.

        • @0031nek: Yeah, I'm not understanding this? Is Neversolar a company with a poor reputation?

        • @Burnertoasty: No He meant not to go with Zeversolar they had some fault issue few year back before they were taken over by SMA German Manufacturer and they been on top of its quality with smart designs.

        • @Burnertoasty:

Just a very lme joke that isn't explained clearly.

      • You'd hope that Canadian solar panels won't crack in the Melbourne winter.

        Can you confirm OP?

  • +4

"Canadian Solar production facilities in Canada, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Brazil"
"The bulk of Canadian Solar's manufacturing facilities are located in Canada and China"

I'm picking they are made in China :)

    • China make iPhone

  • Yes Bloom Australian Stock is Manufactured in China.

  • Only Panels we stock which are not made in China are Qcell, LG , REC

  • When searched the company address (47 Goldminers Place Epping VIC Australia 3076), I see an empty residential block. And the business name was registered on "19 Dec 2016". I wonder how long this company will last.

    • +2

Hi Mate it was before we contructed if you have excess to near maps which i do its updated.
Abn Lookup tool can show you our abn is registered from 2014 its just we Started Trading as SolarSeed since Decemeber 2016.
We believe in providing better service in tough Solar Market and we do operate in Victoria and NSW and in Process of expanding to WA from January.
Like most of the business we started small and with time like every business we are growing at steady pace.

    • I see it being built April 2016 and was completed for sure in Sept 2016.

      • Thats Right .

  • "customer have to install all panels or $50 discount per panel will be given for unable to install"
So we need to install these ourselves hey?
    Also, your website doesn't work

  • +1

We ddo mention $50 less per panel as Racking and installation cost is reduced generally panels do have subsidy unfortunately installation racking and electricals still get used the same.
We can tailor different products and quote according to customer needs.
$50 discount is mentioned as sometimes installer during the installation is unable to install or some roof space issue.
We would not like to get into argument with our customers rather have it mentioned before.

I guess you need to try to open it in other window i believe direct link is not working.
Our webpage is up and running for last whole year.
You can google us and we do have customer feedback reviews on various websites like SolarQuotes, Australian Solar Quotes and etc

  • Doesn't it always snow in Canada? Or is it going to work off the glare as well.
Or is it excess stock as not a lot of sunshine there?

    • Solar Panels Manufacturer is from Canada and even if it snows they work with day light and they wont perform to max efficiency but do generate power.
The reason we are selling canadian Solar Panels as they locally based and have Australian Office Based in Richmond in order to cover any sorts of Warranties issues as panels comes with 10 year product warranty and 25 year Linear warranty.
