  • Cool, thanks for the post! Anyone can confirm all stores? Time for OW price match!

    • yeah just confirmed with Chadstone - Australia Wide :) The website doesn't show all the products available so it might be a good idea just to pop in. Most stuff is quite cheap!

      • +1

        Thanks!

Ends Sunday, looks like free freight online as well.

      • +2

Just got back from Indooroopilly - QLD. They are not having 40% off on logitech products. :(

        • Yeah I was there this morning, nothing to indicate that Logitech was on sale. Didn't worry me as the speakers I wanted weren't there anyway :p

  • 40% is pretty good but it's still hard to justify with the 200% mark up JB does. Probably cheaper to get it online or at MSY.

    • +4

Had a look on MSY before posting. Most things are cheaper :)

      • cheaper where?

        • I think they mean at JB.

        • with this 40% off at JB or price match at OW

  • +1

The M950 mouse seems to be a good deal, wonder if I can price match that office work and get another 5% off?

    • That has to be the best mouse ever created…Do yourself a favour and buy one ;)

      • Just bought it. Best price I've seen in a while. dadots… Dooooooo it!

      • +1

It's not good for FPS gaming, but for RTS, it's very nice.

    • Yes you can price match at OW.

    • Anyone else finding the Scroll Wheel Left/Right hard to press because it's so shallow?

      • From the left side yes, right side is fine for me.

      • it's a bit awkward because it doesn;t make a soudn or anything like that but probably just takes a bit of getting use to.

does yours make a spring sound every time it's clicked?

    • I just did precisely that, paid about $78 (Officeworks ticket price was $139).

It replaces my MX Revolution (which moves down to my brother, who was using my old MX 1000 which goes down to my dad). Seems like a great mouse so far, just getting used to the button placement. That lower thumb button is genius, though I miss the wheel automagically switching between ratcheted and free-spin.

    include FREE delivery within Oz

  • Logitech Wireless Desktop MX-5500 — $119! — also price match at OW and take 5% off:
    http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/accessories/logitech/wire…

    • I Went to officeworks, they updated the price to $119 alrdy , cant do price beat now :(, I end up buying from them, damn i should be early :D

      • Did they drop all Logitech prices or just this one?

  • +2

OW will find some excuse not to honour the deal!

    • +8

Why the hell are people negging this comment, it's bloody true! OW will always try to weasel out of their pricematch guarantee, they'll say the warranty conditions are different, or some other such nonsense!

I don't even bother trying them anymore, I just vote with my feet & buy direct from whoever is offering the decent bargain in the first place! ;)

      • +5

No idea why people neged u but it's now evened out for you.

        • +1

          Cheers dude! :)

        • +1

wtf u got negged for saying thanks
          evened out again

      • +4

Hey mate, you are correct, and this happened to me recently. Took down the managers name and sent off a complaint at the officeworks website and got a call a while later saying they would honor a price match after all :)

So you are correct that OW have a nasty habit of weaseling out of price matching, however head office will have your back if you have the patience to follow it up.
        Cheers

        • Pricematching online is so much easier, same thing happened to me too, I only had the store name though, didn't take down the names.

pretty much a duplicate of this:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/34122

but i'll let it slide (cause i can!) as he was only showing the mx5500… (they do however mention the 40% off thing there as well)

edit: why the negs, was just pointing to you to the other thread that had the info on the kboard and 40% off!

was kidding about let it slide…

    • Lol it probably was the "but i’ll let it slide (cause i can!)" part that got you the negs.

It was mentioned in the other thread's comments but not the description.

awsww diddums, your worried about being e-popular??

        • -2

lol… this is a forum not an english lesson. get over it.

        • cool story bro

lol… in the voice of Professor Frink from the simpsons….
        ..
oh, my my e-poularity is dropping at the rate of ….. "oh my god, with the blood and the guts…"
        ..

        love it e-popular!

        • No you can't play with it, you won't enjoy it on as many levels as I do… Mm-hai bw-ha whoa-hoa. The colours children. Mwa-ha-lee! ;)

  • Logitech are doing a promotion a present where if you purchase any product you can go into the draw to win a $2,000 everyday.

  • Damn. I thought g35 was on sale too. I ended up getting a $11 keyboard =(
I'll wait for the logitech shop to have end of year sale

    • mmmmm it does say all Logitech products…. I wonder how they excluded G35 as they only said excludes iPod docks.

  • I wonder if they count Ultimate Ears as Logitech considering Logitech did buy them out, and some stores advertise the products as Logitech Ultimate Ears.

    • Someone ( you?) commented on a recent post about ultimate ears 700's being great, I had a look online, seems to be rated very well so I was wondering the same thing…and of course if anyone knows if jb stock them?

      • Logitech products including Keyboards, Mice, Webcams and PC Speakers. Excludes iPod Docks.

Another place it says ALL Logitech products so a bit confusing. But I bet there will be no discount on UE, that is if they even stock them.

I bought the Harmony 650 from DSE $79 but now JB have 525 for $45. Should I return 650 and get 525?

650 can only control 5 devices and some function doesn't work so good, can't even reorder activity.

    Are they any difference?

  • I bought the K320 for $28. Shipped.
Needed a wireless keyboard for my new TV plus it'll work with my M950's unifying receiver.
Also works with my xbox apparently.

    • Nice. Is there much difference between the K320 and the MK320 for $33 except for a mouse included?:
      http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/computer-ac…

      • I was just loking at the same deal. For an extra 5 bucks you get a wireless mouse (albeit bottom of the range) and similar keyboard. Cheapest elsewhere is $55 at logitechshop and $59 at MSY.

        • Nah, don't need a cheap mouse.
But for others, may as well.

    • You should know that by "works on xbox" means you can use it to type messages and browse the dashboard. NOT to play games like FPS.

If you bought it for FPS or other games I'm sorry to inform you that it will not work for them. If you want to use it in games, you'll need to shell out for something much more expensive like this:

      http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_xfps_360.htm

  • +3

What about G27??!?!?!? Gotta be prepared for GT5 :)

    • Don't think it's included
as it does say "mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers"

    • It may not be compatible and making you buy whichever new version that gets release later…(MAYBE)

      • Nah the G27 doesn't have native support with GT5
and there's already a Logitech GT wheel with official support for the game released going for around $100-150 not sure where in that price range though.

        • thats the driving force gt pro or sumthing. g25/27 will be much nicer. i bought one back in march in preperation for it.

        • I know that the G27/G25 are much nicer, all I was saying was that the G27 doesn't have official support for GT5, and therefore some functions of the wheel may not work

        • thats just the on-the-fly brake bias adjusting button.

    • +1 on this. Anyone got 40% discount on G27 wheel?

  • Can i assume the online price is the same as the instore price?

    • +1

Nope…my local jb has price tag of $224 (or 225?) with 40% off. But I could be wrong, I didn't bother asking. I just went to OW and got the MX5500 for $119, no price match needed too as others have mentioned above.

      • nice!

  • +1

I'm hoping the Z series speakers are also 40% off…

  • Reckon they will have Z-5500s instore marked down?

    • They should….. I don't see why not.

      • I hope so! I'm gonna be peddling my backside up to JB as soon as they open in search of these bad boys at a bargain price! :)

        • Haha at an original price of $600 I don't think $360 seems like that great a price after what fluidtek has done….

          edit:
(oh you're in Newcastle, the I guess it'll be as good as it will get for you guys up there then. GO GO GO!!!)

        • Doh, the wind has just exited my sails! :o

I couldn't seem to find them online at JB so I was kinda hoping the instore price would be nearer to Fluidtek once the 40% came off! Yeah, I definitely agree, $360 is a little steep in these circumstances!

Thanks Trance, you've saved me a wasted trip, at least I'll get to sleep in instead! I'll just wait til I'm in Sydney when Steady Eddie's having a sale again! ;)

        • My bet is they take them off the floor and say they are not available like here:
          http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/Product/288593

But definitely worth a try. Good luck!

EDIT: They are listed at $699 there so would make it $419.

        • +1

Thanks camelgrass, yeah that sleep-in's looking real good about now! If you guys hear loud sobbing it's just me crying myself to sleep over the price of my z-5500's! ;)

  • Hmm are all those mice "small" mobile mice? I am having trouble which ones have tilt wheels that aren't like holding a baby mouse.

  • Re: The comment about the M950- it is definitely a step down from the MX Revolution. I have both, but get it if you can't get the Revolution.

  • I thought his nickname was "Fast Eddy"?
I still haven't been inside his shop but I often check out the website and drive past on Pennant Hills Rd. Yeah, I know I sound like a stalker :0

    • +1

The Steady Eddie thing's a throwback to the comedian of that name who has cerebral palsy, really funny dude! :)

Yeah, I know I sound like a stalker

      That's for a court to decide! :p

  • Are the remotes on sale as well??

  • Do they sell the G500 mouse? What's the price after discount?

    • To answer my own question it was $77.40. You may have to ask the gaming department to get stock from the back. Not a bad price - same as the cheapest on shopbot at PCDIY.

  • Bought the M950 mouse.
Sticker price $137. Got it for $77.

    • I got mine for $59 at Officeworks via LTS pricematch (couldn't provide sufficient evidence for a Pricebeat, but still good)

      • WTF how did you get enough evidence for a pricematch then…..

    • how did yous get yours so cheap? $137-> 77 is more than 40% off

      • price match at officeworks + 5% off, that's their price match guarantee.

  • I ended up cancelling my online order and buying it from Dick Smiths.
ended up around $25 with my staff discount.

  • I also got the M950 mouse for $77 as well as the 5.1 logitech Z506 for about $84 all price matched at OW. Also noticed when in there they had the Z5500 for $279.

    • Z5500 for $279

At OW? That's a great price! Which branch?

      • I think he meant z2300, as it's on their website.

  • what does ends sunday mean?? has the deal finished or this is the last daY??

    • It says Offer Expires Today unless otherwise specified, so it's today.

  • Nice! Already have a M950, so bought a M905 for the notebook. Also got a K340 for spare (I think the K340 with my old VX Nano make a good compact combo).

Btw, I found the old MX Revolution has very poor battery life (pretty bad even it's rechargeable) hence replaced it with a M950. For that reason, I would not recommend the MX5500 combo.

  • +1

I just went to the Top Ryde store and picked up the Logitech Clearchat Pro USB (microphone headset) for only $9 !!.

Ticketed price was $29 and thought 40% off was good but scanned up only $9. I think its a slightly older model but cheapest on staticice was $49.00.
