@dabell: I know right! I think I think its cause they want to launch Volta as The Next Big Thing

      ASUS is making one.

      Acer is too.

I'm waiting the ROG to be released. Ticks literally every box for me.

      • No Free-sync version?

        • +1

Havent looked TBH mate. I'm sure there will be at some point. But it will be Free Sync 2.

Of course the PC market is the biggest one but with the xbox one x supporting HDR and Free sync 2 as well there should be a demand for it.

      • For what you'll be paying, meh. The HDR will not be very good on them, 384 dimming zones isn't enough. You need a lot more dimming zones, or a panel technology capable of non-garbage contrast.

      • Looks good but 2k good for me now

  • That's a pretty hefty price for no G-Sync.

    • Obviously if G-Sync is a requirement for you, I'd go elsewhere.

Otherwise it's the same monitor as the current Predator deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/340424, but with no G-Sync. Basically pay an extra $150 for G-Sync.

So if you have a Radeon GPU and don't intend to move to NVidea soonish, this is the monitor for you. If you have an NVidea or plan to go with one soon, go the Predator.

I mean the going price for this class of monitors is lower than $678, closer to $580-630…

          From your suggested deals:

          • The first is the same monitor, but overseas stock. I mentioned it in my post - the $50 is for Aussie stock/warranty.
          • The second is a TN panel rather than IPS.

It's cool if you're not happy with the price on the monitor, but you should compare it to similarly spec'd ones.
