For what it's worth, fee was $1.10, they add GST rollseyes

Outrages me they add a fee for postage costs when the buyer pays too, you'd make a loss on low value items.

  • I understand the FVF is $1 for this promotional period but do you also need to pay listing fees as well or are people combining this promotion with their 40 or 50 free listings each month?

    • You generally list for free anyway. 100 a day is on my account, along with 40 a month (for no real reason).

  • I got this but now (Monday) its disappeared from my promotions list. Hope its still works when I sell something

    • It'll likely pop up next Sunday, it should be listed in your expired offers for yesterday though.

      • I did list some items and the counter moved on the promotion when I listed, but now that the promotion has dissappeared I have nothing to indicate that the items I listed will get a free final value fee. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens if it sells.

  • Does this deal apply if I create an ad any time during the week but set the starting time to be on Sunday?

  • So Ive got 100% feedback, I've just read all th terms and conditions, (You have to be carefull with Ebay's T&C's), Im ready to sign up to the offer, and its now expired! wtf!

    • I activated and it’s now moved to be expired in the history tab

I’d say it will go live next weekend again.

But if expect more offers during the week as Amazon is gearing up.

  • Hello,

Looking at selling a high value watch.

What is the safest way to sell and not get scammed?

    • Probably by selling it to Cash Converters. Although you'll get "scammed" with the low price you'll get… hmm.

    • To a watch dealer/jewelers.

      • Thanks Neil Aus,

        Any recommendations in Melbourne?

The link is active again, it will accept the offer for tomorrow 26/11.

    • "Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired."

      • That's strange… did it work for you last Sunday?

        • It was working then but not now.

worked for me - silly how you need to do this every week…

Not showing up yet - assume will only show up tomorrow?

  • Affirm
    Live and ready to go.

Screenshot it to back yourself up if eBays systems have a fit again

    • Pretty sure its AEST not daylight time, 10 mins to go

  • And it's $1.10, not $1…

    • At least these ones are working automatically without needed an agent to fix. The last ones I needed an agent every item.

  • Need some clarification here. So does that mean I need to list my auction days before this so that the auction end time lands on Sundays in order to qualify this offer? And if I list Buy It Now then I can only do so on Sundays and remove the item before Mondays so my items are not sold after Sundays?

    • No, you just need to list the item starting today.

  • I wonder if I can end my listing and relist it again today to qualify?

thanks for this, listed and sold my switch for $1.10 fee today.. saving $40!

  • I think it's already expired

Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.

Try again now, the link becomes active every Saturday.

      • you're right, thanks

  • Is "List Items for Free" accurate? Because ebay Terms say "The promotion does not apply to Insertion Fees, fees for optional features or upgrades or any other fees that may be applicable." Non-business accounts, however, may get 40 (or other) free listings/month.

    • I was copying what was written in my promotional offers section.
'List as many items for free and only pay $1 in Final Value Fees per item.'

You're right, the T&Cs do say otherwise.

  • Is it mandatory to accept PayPal as payment for this offer ?
I dont see PayPal mentioned in the T&Cs on the eBay site or in this deal.. and Ive never sold on eBay before.

I always try and buy stuff with PayPal - but I am a little wary of selling and accepting PayPal in case a buyer tries and does a dodgy claim like saying they never received an item even if they collected it from me.
Does that happen often ? Ive heard PayPal is very buyer biased (which I like as a buyer, but not so much as a seller).
