I suppose you either need an A3 printer or you don't. If you do, then Harvey Norman at MLC Centre Sydney had a couple of this model in the area near the register at lunch time (16-Nov). It said they were reduced from $500 odd down to $198. A friend of mine bought a similar one for about $600 18 months ago when he needed it for assignments.

I googled the printer and they seem to be going for about $400'ish elsewhere … basic specs = resolution of maximum 4800 x 1200 dpi* I suggest the following link if you are after one of these.

I suspect A3 printers are always way overpriced, but when you have no choice this looks like a good deal.
