  • Is this good for adding external storage to PS4? I've never needed to look in to it until recently when my drive finally started getting full.

    • +2

Yeah it'll work. You can also open the casing and replace it with your stock drive if you want.

    • +1

Just plug this in PS4 and in settings storage add this. Then change change install location on the drive and you can move already PS4 installed games to this USB connected external drive. Been using this since 6 months no issue. And save your game saves to cloud as well if anything goes wrong.

  • Seagate. No thanks. Have had a horror run with Seagate drives in the last few years.

    • +3

On the other hand I've had more problems with Western Digital.

      • +2

Come back to me when you've scrapped 6 or 7 drives.

I use to be Seagate all the way. 5/6 of my 2TB internal drives on my 6.5 year old monster are still going strong reporting no SMART problems. The larger drives are a whole other story.

        • No probs with Seagate, but 2 WD died in the past 6 months.

        • @TilacVIP:

4TB 2.5" self powered by any chance?

        • @syousef: requires USB 2.0 with a ( HDD ) label on TV .. any USB 2.0 on PC should be fine

        • @syousef:
Nah, both 2TB's Green & blue

        • @TilacVIP:

Odd I think I've only had 2 WDs die in the last 10 years.

I use to be a big fan of the Seagates until I had so many fail on me. Most 2, 3 and 4TB expansion desktops, but also a couple of smaller 500GB Expansion portables.

    • That's unfortunate. I haven't had any problems with seagate ( nor with WD).

  • Sweet. Ordered.

  • Use AMEX paypal deal to save more.

    • Do you have link to the AMEX deal?

      • PayPal AMEX offers were targeted, not available for all

        • So can't work in store?
Spend $100 in store and get $20 coupon is another option.

  • Good for Xbox storage.

  • Ordered! Will use it to upgrade my PS4.

Officeworks have now dropped their price to match this deal.

Limited to 2 per person, whereas JB is unlimited.

      Scrap that Dear Nick,

Thank you for your order with JB Hi Fi online.

Sadly, your order has been cancelled due to the quantity of items you have ordered and limited stock available.

Our website’s terms of sale allow JB Hi-Fi without limitation to cancel orders for commercial quantities of goods (refer clause: 5.2).

    • I wonder if you can still get the $20 coupon at JB if you pricematch officeworks?

      • +1

You wouldn't need to price match. Officeworks dropped their price to meet JB's sale price. It's $79 at both stores now.

        • Ahh right, misunderstood what someone else said. Thought OW had dropped it to $75.

        • @LlamaLlamaLamp: Ah right. This morning the hard drive was still $99 at OW, so you would've been able to use their price beat guarantee to get it for $75.10. At about 11am, OW updated their price to match JB's sale (they do this pretty often).
