a real bargain considering msy's cheapest gtx480 is $470.

  not a bad price, but some people are probably waiting for the new 69XX series coming in early/mid December, might change the whole bang-4-buck equation!

    agreed, this is more aimed at those who cant wait that long for whatever reason. also i have a feeling some may be inclined to go SLI with these if the price keeps slipping.

  I wouldn't be too quick in getting a GTX 480 yet… the new 6900 series may pwn the GTX 480 in both power and performance ratio.

  Also, please put $399 in title and also mention that it is a preorder.

  The 480 is super fast :) but the 580 is coming into play now but at $200 more for a 10% faster card not maybe the 480 is the way to go, i think the 6970 may match the 580 but we'l see :)

  I mean the GTX480 was never a good seller but @ $400, it's worth considering.
