I missed out on this Black Friday deal, so i thought I’d have a look to see if I could find any codes for Cyber Monday and found a Terms and Conditions page for the code PCYBER.

There’s no start date in the Terms and Conditions, but I think It’s pretty obvious it will be tomorrow sometime.
Trying the code now brings up the following;

Finally… I missed out on the black friday one as well.

  • +52

I'm just 10% excited about this.

    • +6

I was hoping for 15% so I am 67% excited.

  • -4

This offer is available for as long as it is advertised by eBay

    Something something soft launch something

  • +4

should I wait for ebay next 15% off sitewide ???

dreaming of my xperia XZ1 compact…..

    • +7

Shouldn't you be waiting for 20% or more off sitewide?

      • +7

        its not gonna happen tbh

        • One word: Amazon.

        • I second that too…Ebay have had too many 20% offs this year…Maybe with Amazon opening up(if they do) we might see another last one….

      • +8

the 20% off usually are targeted sellers only, so more chance of markup before the discount.

      • +13

Hate to disappoint anyone including myself, but eBay is NOT going to do a 20% site wide until eBay 20 years anniversary.
We only had an 18% a few months back, lucky if we get a 15% for Xmas or boxing day.

        • Thanks Nostradamus.

        • +4

Hope I'm still alive when they celebrate their 100th year anniversary.

    • +2

Surely ebay will try to rain on amazon’s parade with at least 18% off…

  • +1

Will this work for an auction won tonight?

    • +3

No harm in waiting until tomorrow to pay. Nothing in eBay says you have to pay instantly for auction wins.

    • +7

if it doesn't need to be paid immediately i think you can try doing the payment tomorrow..and let us know how it goes..this is always a question in my mind. Thanks in advance.

    • +3

Definitely works, I often wait when I know a code is coming.

    • +2

Yes if u haven’t paid already.

I won bidding on some items last week and I knew there is a site wide code coming next day so I didn’t pay. Paid it when the code was live and there was no issues. I received the items too.

    • +1

I had won an auction a couple of months back. I had planned on pay on pick up but then the 18% site wide deal came and I paid using PayPal. It worked and that was like 4 days after the auction had been won.

  • +7

Wouldn't it have been better if they had kept the recent 10% off running until Monday, and let buyers shop throughout the weekend?

    • Having multiple 'limited' sales periods lets them manufacture a greater sense of urgency to purchase. Oxford (AU clothing brand) is great at this. Many equivalent Cyber Monday deals for the same goods available during Black Friday are being accompanied by warning messages of 'Today Only'.

  • Does PANTSDOWN still work?

    • Nope

    • +4

It might still work on ladies.
      But beware of police.

  • heck yeah. was waiting for this. looks like I'm getting a new phone haha

    • -5

      Thanks for letting us know.

      • +3

You never get bored of this comment?, seems like others do.

        • Haha you shouldn't be reading an eBay deal post if you get bored of the same old comments.

      • +1

I almost commented on this earlier last night and saying "waiting for WatchNerd's response"

  • +1

how do you buy it now and pay tomorrow, there isnt an option to pay later.

    • +2

Just buy now, but dont pay until tomorrow

    • +2

On desktop there is an option for commit to buy from memory. Makes it am awaiting payment item instead of an in cart item that could still be sold out from under you.

      • +2

You literally just hit "buy it now" and don't pay until you're ready. Nothing fancy to it.

        • So when doing that, it still allows you input a coupon later and you also keep the same price not a jacked up price? Thanks for any info as there's a pair of headphones that I want to get now but if I can pay 10% less tomorrow without a jacked up price that'd be even better.

        • If you hit buy it now and it takes you to payment screen. If you don't pay straight away it's not listed as awaiting payment.

    • +6

Some sellers force you to pay for the item when you buy it too…

  • +19

I like eBay's current state of perpetual fear of Amazon so they have to keep on releasing coupons every so often.

    • +1

Them and every other retailer that have sales .

  • +6

20% to 15% to 10%… need Amazon to open up with good deals already.

  • +8

Where all the cheap PS4's at?!

  • Does amazon stock 4wd camping gear ? After a waeco fridge and long range fuel tank and things

    • +5

Even if they do, there is no guarantee that their prices will be cheaper than eBay's prices.

There is currently a 20 percent coupon POOLSIDE that works on a number of outdoor and camping related sellers. It will expire tonight at 10pm

  • +11

Since amazon AU is nowhere in the horizon i'll take the 10%

    • +3

I read an anaysis discussing why amazon is likely to launch in the next week. In time for xmas rush, but dodge the black friday hype so they aren’t drowned out by competing sales. Makes sense i guess..

      • +1

As distinct from the analysis last week that said they would open on Friday cause it suited the American promotion and they'd asked sellers to be ready by Thursday 2 p.m.

Which made sense to those that bought into it.

        • -1

haha do you work for ebay or something? i'm happy to wait.. 10% off is yawn-invoking. they do it at least once or twice a month now.

        • +3

          @bohdud:

Not sure why I'd work for ebay just cause of a comment about all the speculation last week on Amazon opening on Friday?

Anyways, aside from the discount last Friday I think it's been some time since a 10% off site wide coupon. I've certainly had to buy a lot without one.

  • +1

eBay should be nice enough to bring down the minimum spend to $30 on certain occasions. Yeah right they won't do that. Bastards!

    • +1

10% on $30 is barely anything, $3 is still a small pot of beer…

  • When does the coupon start? 12.01am or 10.00am like usual?

  • +11

Honestly 10% off storewide is better than 15% or 20% off on selected Jacked Up store sale.

    • don't worry, ebay sellers will still jack up the prices before this starts

its already on ozbargain, so most sellers will know about it soon

      • +3

Not all sellers have jacked up their prices. I haven't :)
I've added a heading in the description recommending to take advantage of the PCYBER code!

    • Nah the price hasn't gone down at all, at least for the stuffs i'm looking at

    • +1

Jack up or jack off! Wait…

  • +12

Cyber Monday. For all the shit nobody wanted to buy on black Friday 😀

  • +3

    10% is a bit of a cop out. 15% + or GTFO

    • DFO or GTFO?

      • GTFO

  • Bugger ebay ,10% is a joke , the more you use ebay the less they give

  • Looking to build a Ryzen 1700 PC. Is this a good deal or wait for Amazon?

    • +2

      No.

prices on parts are still jacked from the 20% selected retailers a fortnight ago. They will probably offer 10% off at check out plus 10% coupon which is actually a few dollar expensive than straight 20% off.

the meantime RAM prices had gone up by $100

      • Is it right to think that the existing prices for the 1700 etc will go up any time soon?

        • No actually ryzen prices are going down, AMD dropped the RRP.

        • +1

@Ajasmine: I heard the AMD RRP drop was just for the week?

  • +2

Just that much? Hey ebay, Chance of me using that code is also only 10%.

  • do these type of ebay sales usually start at 9am (or other reasonable times) or midnight?

    • +1

      usually 10AM

      • thanks :)

  • Any good iPhone 8 deals?

Can't see anything better than this deal from the last 10% off (which wasn't great for a grey stock >_<)

    • That deal actually doesn’t seem terrible compared to all the bad deals on there. But yeah, grey stock.

  • Brilliant!

  • +1

I just dont get it, why the excitement, as we have had so many ebay deals lately.. and from my own experience, most of the prices are jacked up and with discount are the retail price.. just saying that , and not negging it

  • Why does this always get so many upvotes? This sale is weekly and the prices on eBay are at least 5-10% higher than the exact same good from the exact same retailer (buying from their website instead of their eBay store)

  • Could you possibly save a further 10% off by buying eBay digital gift cards first (using the 10% off code), then redeeming them for the goods you want to buy in a separate transaction (again using the 10% code)?

Ebay codes can be bought from here:

    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/eBay-Digital-Gift-Card-5-to-200-Fa…

    • No because gift cards are excluded from sale.

      • Ahhh crap…just saw that!

        • +4

eBay know all the scams. Heck they even had a few of their own. Eg PayPal

  • -1

    Thanks Amazon!

    • +3

      Wrong thread?

      • +2

Nope. Amazon Australia arriving puts eBay Australia on edge and pumping out the rare site wide deals. I wouldn't be surprised if eBay did a 20% off site wide deal to try and take some of the spotlight off Amazon.

  • +2

So could you list something for a few hundred and only pay $1 to sell (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/343005) then buy it with another account for 10% off?

Eg list Price $3000, pay $1 to sell. Buy for $2700 and take $299 profit

    • PayPal fees would eat into that profit

      • If you lose $100, it's still $200 for nothing… Unless I'm missing something else?

        • I am curious about this too

        • -3

Yep you're missing a brain for thinking you can get a deal for buying your own product… And then making a profit on it for buying for 10% off!

But you probably don't see anything wrong with anything I just said lol

        • @Monstalova: ? The maths say i will as far as I can see… But tryagain makes a good point, they may be looking for people gaming it. Still if I really needed a few hundred I'd try it, I'm sure you can make it look legit if you try… But gotta wait till next Sunday

        • @fajman: wow so you don't see spending money on something you already own negates anything… It's like having a split personality and saying I'm gona give my other half a discount of 10%

        • +2

          @Monstalova:

wow so you don't see spending money on something you already own negates anything

No it doesn't because the seller (you) will still get the full amount of $3000. That is, eBay will cover the 10%.

Are you still going to argue your (incorrect) point?

    • I think they would have a few algorithms to flag suspect transactions, you might get away with it, you might then still have to pay the fees and have the discount revoked.

Edit, and if people try and scam it eBay might just stop doing the codes, then everyone misses out.You might gain a couple of hundred now and then miss out on hundreds more in the years to come.

    • -6

What? You're going to buy your own product and make a profit??!! Are you smacked out of your head! The worst thing is your comment has 3 upvotes, so there's 4 idiots who don't know how maths and life work. Can't believe you think buying your own product makes you money. Dumbest thing I've seen on the internet
