First time deal poster so be kind if I've made any errors in this posting.

Price is $3999, includes $250 VISA cash card so $3749 effectively.

Unfortunately I couldn't see it mentioned on their site when Black Friday sales finish. I called to ask and was told they were supposed to finish on the weekend but they decided to let them run a couple more days, so I took a guess that it expires on Nov 28.

Originally the product page didn't state the price, but it came up after I signed up as a member on their site. Not sure if that was a coincidence, so if you don't see the price give that a try.

When it originally came up without a price, it was mentioned that 3 months NetFlix is also included. I don't see that now so not sure if it's correct, but it is in the web page title so guessing it is. UPDATE: Found out the free NetFlix was an LG promotion but it ended on Friday.

They also appear to have another promotion stating free delivery for online orders over $100 if within 20km of a store, excluding "Apple products, furniture and home wares" which I think means this should be available.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2017

  • Regarding the expiry date; I just got an email form them: Black Friday deals are available until 11:59pm AEDT 27/11/2017, unless sold out prior.

    • Thanks for the note. Updating the deal now to reflect expiry today.

Not 100% sure, but looks like CashRewards have 4.55% cashback from Betta. Feel free to neg if I am wrong :-)

Only 2 days ago just FYI

      Out of stock

  • These were 3590 earlier in the week. Terrible deal.

    • Where?

      • +4

        @amirr1361, $3590.40 @Bing Lee eBay. See here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/343849

        • +3

I wouldn't say terrible deal. This is $3999 minus cashrewards $182 = $3817. Minus $250 visa gift card = $3567 with free delivery if within 20km from a store.

The previous deal was $3590 minus cashrewards $35 = $3555 click and collect.

Am I missing anything? It appears this is a better deal for some.

    • +1

Click and Collect only. So only for those in NSW

      • -1

No, it also had delivery options for 40$. The deal was also available in other states.

      • +4

Bing Lee don't deliver to me, so Betta's offer is a great deal for me. Going to hold off for now though.

  • When are the 75" OLEDs going to come down to a reasonable price?

    • We'll they're actually 77" and only LG and Panasonic seem to produce them.

Considering they retail for 32K, I don't think they'll be at the mainstream TV price point any time soon.

      • -1

Yeah, wont be in the immediate future but they will come down. The 75" LED TVs were over 10K when they were first released and i've seen them as low at 3k. I think the 65" OLED was 10K on release too.

        • The 65 were 6k… down to under 4k… as for the 77" most are sold via a display from LG sold then lg come out and set it up. Its such a niche market for the 77" and most likely wont be heavily discounted. Unless jb or HN sell the demo unit at a loss to get rid if it..

        • @solidussnake: so you're saying they will never come down in price, ever?

        • @F-22: read my comment most likely the demo units when finished.. its their flagship model, do you see ferrarri flog their range ?

        • @solidussnake: Did you say the same thing when 42" plasmas were new? They were over 10k.

        • @F-22: Good luck dreamer you're going to need it :)

        • @solidussnake: if you're still on ozbargain in a few years time and they haven't come down in price, feel free to message me and tell me I was wrong.

          http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1944414

        • @F-22: you are one of those people who keep complaining about the price of a 77" but will never buy even if it reaches $1000.πŸ˜‚

        • @solidussnake: What's that got to do with what you're arguing? First of all I said 75" oled not 77" LG oled. Second of all, you don't know what I earn, my budget and what I spend it on, I'd say my budget is well above average so nice assumption but wrong again. You've realised there's a chance of you being wrong so you're taking another angle, nice try anyway.

        • @F-22: πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

        • @F-22: they were taking about the oled you scrub so thats what i was talking about wake up mate.

        • @solidussnake: who's they? I started the comment, your lack of being able to read is showing.

        • @solidussnake: and you work at JB so I wouldn't be calling people a scrub.

        • @F-22: You really are a massive scrub calm down and in 20 years you might be able to purchase a 77 oled. jesus you are precious

        • @solidussnake: so your saying I'm right? By the way I know I made you mad based on you commenting on all previous posts lol that is sad.

        • @F-22: i think you think you can afford this stuff but take home 40k a year home gl buying this with "your budget"

        • @solidussnake: Not even close, i don't work at JB.

        • @F-22: πŸ˜‚ go and enjoy ur soniq tv mate

        • @solidussnake: I don't own and have never owned a single soniq product but good try.

4K isn’t clear enough for 75”. Better to get a projector if you are after those sort of sizes IMO.

      • +3

        Depends on viewing distance.

      • +2

Yet 1080p is fine for most cinemas..

      • Wow you are special. You know before 4k they did FHD screens and that still suited people.. you are probably one of those people who buy a 65 and sit 1mtr from it..

      • +1

Wouldn't a projector be the same at 75" projection?

    • +2

True that, I can barely make out the picture on my 65" screen.

      • I've got a 60" now which seemed huge when I bought it but it feels too small now.

  • Worth saying that now LG's (finally) released the B7T, which is just about identical in every regard. Seriously, do a comparison on the site, see if you can actually spot the difference! Look for prices on the B series rather than the C.

    • +1

It's really just the stand and the rim around the edges (black on the C7, silver on the B7). Everything else remains the same. Check out HDTVTest on youtube, the guy there does a comparison.

      • Yes, this is what I'd read. Functionally, the TV remains the same, and the vast majority of reviews point to the B7 as the value buy as a result, rather than the C7. As I understand it, it's now exactly the same panel and internals (which is why I suspect LG was reluctant to release it here despite it being out for months overseas). The C6 used to differ due to its curved profile, but now that they're both flat, it's really just the stand/edge.

When are the 65" B7 expected to be available in Australia? I've only seen 55" so far, checked on retailers sites and LG Australia web site also.

  • This must look stunning.

1ms. 4k resolution, OLED display, LG.

    • yes. I have the 55 . worth it

  • Stupid question here. Do I use the cash card like any other eftpos credit/debit card?

  • appliance online also has it for $3998 free shipping to some cities. still better for me to get it from betta and pay for shipping out of the $250 card

    • +1

In case you missed it in the post, Betta has free shipping for online orders over $100 if within 20km of a store.

      • +1

yep 56km is closest in adelaide, barely any stores here. could pickup but might wait for a $3-3.5k deal

  • this is my next TV.. i've just bought way too much stuff this year. Hopefully we get some banging good prices on these around june-july… and hopefully my series 5 samsung can live on a little longer (he's getting very tired and starting to do odd things, mostly HDMI handshake issues).

    • +1

I would be looking around march as the tv's start to go EOL and hard to buy :)

      • cheers mate, i'll see how the coffers look come march.
I guess the risk is that the 'new technology' around the corner could really flatten these prices as time pushes on. Given how popular OLED is becoming, i think i'll go okay, even if it's a different model number.
