  • That's the highest I have seen for a long time. $680USD spend or below is the best saving with the coupon.

      many times.. no issues.

    • Orbitz are consistently the cheapest prices for me when booking in the USA, not sure about elsewhere. So 22% off that is a great deal

  • How do you receive the discount?

    • …anyone?

      • On the booking screen there is a section to add in the code. Try the 18% off code in this thread as the 22% has expired

        • Thanks, so does the code wipe off 18% from your total payable? Or does it give you some sort of credit to use later?

        • @KaptnKaos: It's a direct 18% off. Watch the total change before and after you apply the coupon, it's a genuine discount

        • @Wampus:
          Thanks!

  • Quickly cancelled my bookings on Booking.com and rebooked with this code. Thanks. ^^

Make sure you check other sites (hotelcombined, Trivago) and directly with Hotel before booking. I've checked a few properties and Orbitz wasn't necessary the cheapest even with 22% off.

  • well done op. does anyone know if you cancel a booking do they refund u the orbucks?

  • can only be used once.

  • Hawaii accommodation on Orbitz is so inflated. $600+ for Embassy Suites Waikiki when it's under $400 on the hotel's website.

    • Just checked Outrigger Resort Waikiki Beach Resort for 4 nights and worked out $300 USD cheaper on Orbitz with the 18% off code. 22% off expired :(

  • How do you apply the promo code? I've scanned through the whole checkout/payment page and there's no option. I even clicked the complete booking and that just confirmed the booking and didn't give me an option to put in the code. I've just cancelled that order now. Any tips?

Just above where you enter your CC details, click on the blue "Enter a coupon or promotion code" link and a field will appear where you can enter the code.

    • stanw1201 Upon selection of accommodation/room of your choice, click the 'reserve' button. On the booking page, you would see 'Enter a coupon or promotion code'- hidden just above where you enter cc details etc

      • Thanks guys. I just tried with a few other hotels and I can see the option in some of them. I assume that this means the initial hotel and a few of the others I randomly chose and of which didn't show up with the code option means that they are not eligible for the promotion.

Close call! I almost cancelled the booking.com booking I made last night. Phew.

  • it would be nice if one could search only hotels that discount applies.

  • Successfully booked a specific room in Vegas for $171 a night, where the cheapest I could find previously is $300, nice!

  • Went to book an apartment in Melbourne, but noticed a heading on final payment page… (don't know how to insert screenshot.. So will copy/paste)

"Mandatory property fee: Collected by property. Details"

… Then I click on 'Details' and pop up box says:

    "Property fees

You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property:
    Deposit: AUD 500.00 per stay"

Emailed them to enquire whether this is a bond payment or in addition to the total I pay through ORBITZ.

I just wanted others to be aware in case this is a hidden cost.. Will update upon a reply from ORBITZ

The Hotel rates do not include service fees or taxes which can account for a further 20% plus to rates.

Just booked a night in Tokyo Marriott. Rate is still slightly cheaper than booking directly

  • Awesome!!! Booked school hols cherry blossom season. Maxed out at $150 in Tokyo and Kyoto. Missed 22 deal on 2nd booking, however even with 18 code maxed at $150!! Beat my local agent by $500 at each hotel!!! Many thanks!!!
