A metal garbage bin and various other bits of metal I can strap on to become somewhat bulletproof?

Is it called "Ned Kelly" because $55 rrp for a trigger hose is highway robbery?

    • To be fair, that includes shipping, fantastic support, spare parts and they're serviceable.

  • I got two of these with a hose and some other items, both of the metal sprayers are now useless. I've tried fixing them per the instructions on their website, this resulted in a minor improvement but they quickly got back to being unusable. Leaking, spraying out of every gap possible, sticky trigger, horrible and just as bad as any $2 POS sprayer I've used.

I actually went back to a plastic ones I initially replaced with these metal ones as they still work, leak less and are currently still far more usable.

Not sure why you had issues, I have this and numerous other Hoselink stuff and 2 years later it's still fine.

Only problem I had was when using the sprayer with bore water which had a lot of salt and minerals and would clog.

This was easily fixed and prevented by making sure no water sat in the nozzle after use.

I've bought quite a lot from Hoselink and had some troubles with some items (three occasions I'd say). Each time I emailed them they either gave an immediate refund or offered to repair the item (shipping at their cost) and when I'd say "Nah, don't bother, just send the parts" they'd send a complete kit of spare items not just the one part that was dodgy. Give them a call and it'll all be sorted. I have three of the above triggers and can't fault them, perhaps you just got unlucky.

      • Okay will do, might be a challenge to work out when I bought them but hopefully they'll be able to work it out from their end. The triggers were excellent when new and I was hoping to restore them to their former glory one day.

        • Similar experince here. We dropped and broke something, not a fault of the product, a fault of our action. Mentioned it here in comments, and despite me repeating it is a user fault, not warranty, they sent me a replacement part.
I have two or 3 of these trigger guns. They need greasing every so often to stop being sticky, and I have one that is clogged in the rain setting, due to use with non filtered damn water. They have lasted a few years quite well.
I need a new hose, and it’s because of their excellent customer service I will be geting it from them. I love their flow controllers.

  • Is this endorsed by Ned himself?

  • I like Hoselink but would recommend against the trigger spray. It's built like a tank but needs regular lubrication else it gets stuck in the open position - like others above have mentioned. You need the right lube (silicone grease) else it will seize up in a few days. I now have a cheap trigger spray attached to my Hoselink hoses; looking after their trigger spray is one extra bother I don't want.
