optus apple se 32gb unlocked, come with $50 optus sim card, currently $379 in Big W after using WWS gift card, 2 years local warranty, but grey only

    • Currently $549, so the supply of local $399 iPhone se handsets appears to have dried up unless you're lucky to find old stock…. :-(
      https://www.bigw.com.au/product/iphone-se-32gb-space-grey/p/…

      • out of stock online, need to call local stores, https://www.bigw.com.au/product/optus-iphone-se-space-grey-3…

        • What's the difference between the link zhaoweizhi supplied and the one PlasticSpaceman supplied?
One mentions "Optus" in the description, but does that mean it is locked to Optus?

Also what is a "WWS gift card" and how does one get the phone for $379, please.

        • @ss3imkta: No different, check current bigw catalogue, it is a optus prepaid iphone se with $50 optus credit, but all optus iphone is unlocked, I purchased it one week ago, insert kogan sim immediately, do not need to unlocked. Most stores in Sydney still have it in stock. E.g. top ryde, mq centre. You can call bigw head office, they could tell you which stores have se. I went to top ryde bigw this afternoon, the staff said more than 3 left. Get a 5% off WISH gift card, make the price $399 down to $379.05. Also now you can get 3 x WWS rewards point if you scan your rewards card, better than me, when I purchased my se, bigw did not start the WWS Rewards card offer. By the way, I checked the manufacture date of my se, it is made on Aug 2017, quite new, with 2 years's local warranty and $50 optus prepaid credit, cannot see any points purchase oversea iphone se. Bigw sold optus iphone se at $399 since last month, it is becoming normal price.

        • @zhaoweizhi: thumbs up

        • Seems like they’re in stock online at BigW now and Optus stores are selling them too. I picked one up in store yesterday.

Recently got a 128GB one and the battery life is amazing. I'm constantly getting 2-3 days out of it with 7+ hours screen on time.

    • +2

well that's one of the benefits of a tiny 4" screen.

  • No issues with Shopmonk here. Spent about $3k with them too

  • I purchased an iPhone 6s Plus 2 weeks ago. It arrived within a week. No issues at all.

    • how much roughly did you pay for 6s Plus? not worry that it may be bent?

      • how do you bend a phone box ?

      • $536 delivered. Don't understand your bent question.

        Was brand new, sealed.

ahh iphone - the desire for social acceptance…

I bet you never do stuff to fit in with anything you rebel you!

  • A little unrelated, but how can you tell if an iPhone is local or international stock, so the 2 year local warranty applies?

    • +3

If it says that it comes with a power point ‘adapter’ you know it’s not local stock.

      • Ah okay. Any way to tell regarding the serial numbers at all?

  • is this singapore stock? as in apple singapore will handle repairs? i go over often so this might work

How about trying sending an email to them to get clarification rather than asking in here…

      • +1

There's nothing wrong with asking on Ozbargain. Are we not here to help each other out where possible?

For all you know, he could've commented here, simply hoping but not expecting an answer. He may have then proceeded to find out himself, and would then shortly report back here with an answer. It does happen here sometimes.

If you don't know the answer, you don't need to respond. As long as the asker does not ask expectantly then what's the issue?

  • This is pretty much very good steal!

don't be surprised if you receive used and resealed phone. Further surprise will be no response of the email. Read the feedback on shopmonk eBay.

Shopmonk.com.au is absolutely rubbish when it comes to warranty.

I bought a Samsung S8+ from them just three months ago. The phone doesn't work now and there is no way to contact them. On their website they stated that buyers get 1 year warranty but they do not respond to emails and answer their 1300 number.

Save your money and avoid shopmonk. They sell you the product and you will never hear from them when you need to get the device fixed.

I learnt my lesson. They are a scam.

    • You should still be able to make a warranty claim to Samsung!
