  • Is NRMA only available for NSW and ACT?

    • Yes.

    • If this is the same deal as last time when they ask you for your NRMA number just quote your RACV/T/Q etc. number, I don't think they can tell the difference.

  • Iphone is not included in this offer unfortunately.

    • It might be. Last time it was not included at first either, but I rang the call centre and had no worries at all.

      • How much is for iphone 4 , 12 months plan last time you have ?

    • I don't see that exclusion anywhere in the terms and conditions.

  • Any chance to get some feedback from people who toook up the offer last time? Any issue? Did Vodafone perform any check?

    • Web orders don't result in a check being performed, but if you phone & order they'll ask for a membership number.

  • If calling, expect wait times…
When gotten a operator, straight away tell them your after the NRMA/RAA more for members deal.
IPHONE is included only if you call up.
IF asked for NRMA Quote any 7 digit number. (my experience is they don't cross check or reference this back to nrma at all)

I'v spoken to a few operators, some will say this some will say that, rar rar rar, just find a operator who is willing to give you what your after =)

and then just sit back and enjoy your new congested VODAFONE network =) hot damn!

  • i signed up under the last offer for a 12 month plan. when i got my first bill, it showed 24 months and no free months/10% off. i had to call them and spent like 6-8hrs in total talking to operators who kept passing on my call. finally one competent staff member fixed it for me. thats the price of an unbelievable deal.

    • You should have gone to the TIO if after the first call you were unable to resolve it.

Why people are so lenient with massive companies who waste their time is beyond me.

  • @ dealsniper, yep, this has happened to a few of my mates too, one of them got around it by just lodging an email enquiry, and then following that up a week later with a angry email enquiry.

Eventually they gave him another month free and also fixed up his issue.

Seeing how simple it is to lodge a complaint with the TIO i wouldn't even think twice about ratting on them if i felt hard done by.

Customer service in this country has a long way to go =/ (in the telecommunications industry anyways)

  • Might want to hold back on signing up until the network stabilizes:

    This is Australia-wide.

  • Thinking of getting one for my dad since he didn't get the Desire HD last time. Now he looks at my phone and says he want one now :( Now I gotta get an equivalent phone for him..Any such phones released or about to be released, BTW SGS not likey

  • Few questions…

    • I'm an NRMA member, and I already have a contract which uses 3 free months. I can take out a second contract though too yeah?

    • I can't get the Desire HD? How come? The free price would just be for the contract, not the phone repayments wouldn't it be?

    • Can I put my gf's name on my NRMA card and also get her the discount?

    • Where does it mention about the 10% discount?

    • I don't think they check online..they didn't check my Desire HD. Desire HD not in the promo because they got ownd last time by selling it below retail price.

Yes! Free price on the monthly cap and not repayments, although some people have reported to have got 10% on the repayments as well, check the Desire HD deal, personally I didn't :(

      Details of the promotion
      https://www.mynrma.com.au/cps/rde/xchg/mynrma/hs.xsl/m4m_vod…

If you order online gf won't need your card, but if you order on phone I guess you could just quote your own, they normally don't check the number, just that it has 7 digits ;)

      And

  • yea but keep in mind, if you sign up online? and they check? you will be up for the full amount i would have thought. You wont be able to exit then.

    • they didn't check anyone during the DHD promotion. Thing is Voda is going down badly and they don't want to lose customers! BTW you can get RACV etc membership for cheap around $28 if you want to be sure!

  • I've been checking a few reviews and they all say that the Galaxy S is marginally better that the HTC. For me, I think the HTC is beautiful - both in hardware and software, and the Galaxy is a little ho hum and unspectacular. But then, who needs a spectacular phone - I just want one that works well, so it seems the Galaxy S is the phone for me.
