i didn't see the tutorial, so i uninstalled and reinstalled the Assistant Extension and finally saw the tutorial. I went through the tutorial to the end but saw nothing about $10 toward your next $20 major appliances order

    • Did you click the Browser Extension? It appears when you click on the extension. I had no issues getting the $5 credit.

      • yes. thats how i was able to go through the tutorial

If you're worried about privacy, it's worth noting while installed Amazon will log every page you open.

It can be helpful when shopping at other sites offering you an option at Amazon as a pop-up, but it does not care about the currency of the websites you are looking at.

Install Amazon Assistant into a portable browser, and use the portable browser for shopping only.

So what ever happened to Amazon's Australian launch last week?

    • +10

They couldn't compete with Harvey Norman.

Best defense is offense. HN heading for US, then?

    • It was never a public launch. It was opened to a small focus group of customers only to test the backend systems.

Seems like they raised the price of the evo select microsd. My order from last week shows 37usd shipped after the 5usd coupon.

  • Why is the trick to easily finding out which products ship to Australia?

    • Select "Ship to Australia" from the filters on the left hand side

      • I'm after the Logitech Harmony Companion, but I think they recently stopped shipping that to Aus. Do they ever change it back to allow shipping to Aus again?

        • yes overseas shipping seems to vary. have had asics shoes and speedo items previously shipped to Oz that no longer ship. could be to do with quantity remaining. When they get lower Amazon export sales stop? very annoying! also try putting it in cart. have had items say no shipping here but then in cart charge a price to ship to Aus.

  • Isn't that Amazon Australia already here? with all the hypes and news? and they still selling kindle books and what not.
