  • I have 3 pairs from these guys. All have been great. +1

    • 3 pairs of FREE glasses? Or just 3 pairs?

I got a pair in the last offer - first set were really small for some reason, but the return/replacement process was really easy, and the second pair are much better.

      • you returned/replaced free glasses? lol

        • shipping still cost $$$

        • +1

Yeh, they were way to small, felt like they were going to fall off every time I moved..

Sent them an email saying what the problem was and got a reply back basically saying "pick a new pair, we'll do the rest" - couldn't have been easier.

And I only had to pay the original shipping fee, nothing extra. Very impressed.

      • I got 2 pairs from coastal contacts, the USA version of the site, as i found a discount code and the exchange rate made it cheaper to buy direct from there anyway. I got both pairs with transitions.

I ordered a free pair with the sunglasses tint.

  • Ordered from Clearly Contacts last time when they had the same promotion. Very happy with the quality.
Had to pay extra $50 for higher index lens. Also delivery costed me $15 and took ages (glasses were sent from US). Good deal anyway!

The virtual mirror on Clearly Contacts is a pain to use. The Zenni Optical frame fit tool is great.

  • For those who missed out the earlier promotions, these guys are great. Don't hesitate now, find your prescription details and go, go, go!

  • Hopefully I get in this time!

  • i got a pair last time they were giving away 500 in brisbane only paid shipping so i guess i dont qualify?. dont forget they process payments overseas so to avoid foreign exchange credit card fees use the wizard mc.

  • Also, don't forget the excluded frames which is not mentioned in the post. http://www.clearlycontacts.com.au/coupon-unavailable-product…

    • They actually print "Coupons not applicable" below every frame that you can't get for free, it's very handy.

  • They don't measure the frame width as from one extreme to the other (including temple grip), just twice the lens width + bridge.

I bought a pair of nice light weight plastic single vision computer glasses from Zenni Optical not long ago for a bit over $20 including postage.

  • their frames are small. check before you buy.

    • That is a rather large generalisation.

As with any glasses make sure you order ones that are the right size. I had a look in some shops for what would be good measurements for me. I found that i need lenses that are at least 53 mm wide.

All i did was look around and find some styles taht had at least 53mm wide lenses and chose from there.

I have 3 pairs and all have been good. (Given i need 63cm hats which are hard to find, theys guys had plenty of larger frames)

  • I bought some last time, and cost $15 posted. They are awesome glasses, i'm still using them.

  • ACT delivery:

    COURIER [Express] - $15.95
Delivery in 2-3 Business Days (after assembly). Our fastest delivery method!

    STANDARD DELIVERY - $12.95
Delivery in 4-10 Business Days (after assembly).

    PRIORITY GROUND - FREE
Delivery in 6-12 Business Days (after assembly).

So if I'm not in a rush to get these glasses, I could go for the Priority Ground option for free frames + free delivery?

Though I noticed that regardless of delivery method, a Handling & Insurance fee of 6% still applies.

    • I don't believe they offer the free delivery option with the free glasses. I certainly don't remember having that option..

    • -1

      6% of $0?
I reckon u should just cop it :P

      • It's non-zero if you're getting proper prescription or tinted lenses. Have to keep it under a certain amount for the health insurance claim, so its worth noting for anyone in a similar situation.

    • i think if you spend over a certain amount they give you free shipping. when i add 2 pairs to the cart, it gives me free ground shipping. for 1 pair the cheapest is 9.95 + handling.

  • am i doing it wrong ?? i put in the code 10000AU and it says code not found . ???

  • never mind . reread the post . my bad . nov 26th 6am . thanks for freebie

  • never mind . reread the post . my bad . nov 26th 6am . thanks for freebie

  • Still need to choose the options? (like pd, cyl, axis, etc)

  • Great deal and huge selection of frames. They're based in the US or Canada so postage may be slow.
Wonder what criteria they will use to deny orders from previous recipients of the offer?

    • same prescription at the same address.
Same prescription from the same IP (even if a different address).

Different prescription from the same IP is ok.

    • I ordered a bunch of contacts (with a free pair of glasses) on the 3rd Nov. They arrived today.

  • I am surprised people can still get the free glasses. What i mean is if you have gotten it once before on their previous free glasses promotion you cant get it again. And considering they have had this promotion so many times, it must mean more and more people are still joining them.

  • Is it possible to get glasses that have plain/non-prescription lenses?

    • yep, just put 0 in each field when you order.

I dont think PD (distance between eyes) would make a diff when uses a non corrective lens.

  • "This popular frame is currently sold out. Please continue shopping"

basically to all the nice ones…bah only harry potter ones left….gah

    • yeah, lots are not in stock. my biggest gripe is that the virtual mirror is really mediocre. many of the frames do not appear in the virtual mirror. clicking on some frames brings up 'page not found' errors. i don't think the size of the frames is accurate on the virtual mirror. for a company that is selling glasses online, i think the virtual mirror should be top notch.

  • saw this on ACA!!

  • be sure to try this using FireFox - no need to to be stuck in the "waiting room" :)

  • bit disappointing all the half decent ones were gone in 10 minutes…

how they don't have an 'in stock' filter I am not sure… would make things a hell of a lot easier.

    Still bought 2 pairs tho…

  • This popular frame is currently sold out.

    :(

  • Thanks ordered mine, firefox wouldn't work for me which is ok because I prefer opera. :D

  • One sold out as I was filling the form :(

  • Don't forget you can get 10% off! PM me your email if you want to get it.

  • Got one :-)

Good to have a spare pair of glasses to kick around.

  • Just wondering any one able to get this or they out of stock before 26th?
    http://www.clearlycontacts.com.au/glasses/frames/tommy-hilfi…

  • That 10 % off can not be used when your friend use another promotion code :(

  • Yeah, couldn't get the exact ones I wanted either, but found a coupe of pairs that were close enough…and I can hardly complain for the price. =) Great deal, very happy! Thanks to the OP.

  • Yay! Just got a pair at 11.15am. The total went from $150 all up to $47 - kewl!! I've bought several pair of glasses from them before - all when special dels were active - and they've been great. I just get the standard lenses, without the extra thin, special coating, progressive, etc and it really keeps the price down. I say thanks op, too!!

  • $20 for glasses, really regret spending $200+ for the last five years.

  • Coupon Code has reached its usage limit
looks like australia has responded bigtime to this offer .. i missed out .. grrr … left it until after i had a new prescription from an appointment that i'd made last week for this afternoon .. i shouldn't have waited.

    • Meh. They have them allll the time. Just wait a week. :)
