Logitech G29 or G920 + Shifter @ JB Hi-Fi $349 + 5% off

190

Pretty solid price for the bundle, and the best for local stock as far as I can tell.

On the promo image its a bonus shifter + game (GT Sport or Forza 7), but when clicking for further details the games are not mentioned. If going instore, you may be able to convince them to include it ;) They have updated the promo image so no game included :(

  • Any OzB recommendations for a stand?
    Great post CyberGenesys

https://www.pagnianimports.com.au/ is probably a good place to start.

I personally prefer my Obutto cockpit to the Next Level GT Extreme (had both).

I find racing rigs a bit too expensive. I ended up building my own.
Welded together some mild steel and a seat from a WRX :) Was a couple of days work, but definitely worth it considering the quality.

Great product placement for OzB in background. Love it.
        Sweet rig…

man, awesome. would you like to sell one? lol

        • Thanks armedgoat. Unfortunately I only have the one, and wouldn't have the time between work to make another.
I used a few display racing rigs when I first bought my G920, and found a lot of parts were made of plastic. Felt really flimsy and cheap, even for the really expensive ones. That's when I decided to build my own, and sprayed it matte black. Definitely something to do if you've got the time, and can weld/know someone who can.

          @gimmebargains:

Any chances of giving the dimensions/drawings to build one?
Wonder how much flex there would be if you made it from wood?
Ive seen the PVC ones online and i assume they would move heaps?

        • @basicerno: I'm not too sure, but you would probably need some thick wood to build a sturdy frame for the rig.
Happy to get dimensions for you if you like, but I put mine together based on where I wanted the pedals, wheels and shifter to be. So that would change if you want it more like a go-kart (nice and low) or sitting more upright (like in a car)

Inspirational! Would like to build one for my son one day (once I learn welding!)

        • Definitely an awesome project; can even turn it into some father-son bonding time

    • Theres one called "GT Art" that I found on ebay thats pretty good.

  • Great find OP! Awesome price.
If anyone is keen on the G920 + shifter with Forza 7, you can pick it up from Harvey Norman with the AMEX deal for $366
Can also do the same thing with GT on PS4 and a few other games too

  • Is this compatible with the PS4?

    • +1

      Logitech G29 + Shifter is for PS4

      • Ah yup. So its the G25 that isn't compatible.

        • +1

The G25 is the older model for PS.
The G29 works with PS4, but the G920 is for Xbox One

  • For a PC only gamer, would I be right in saying the G29 is the better choice? It has the additional inputs as well as the LED shift indicator?

  • do they accept voucher on this one?!

    • Accepts voucher for 5% off
Need to add shifter and game separately for bundle, shifter reduces to $0 but game still costing…

      • do you think jb hifi price match eb game? I am thinking abt eb games's ps4 pro bundle

  • About time they put it down to this price. MSY/PLE/PCCG have been selling it at this price for ages while JB and HN have been charging $500… Just realized it includes a free shifter. A good deal, but way overdue…

    • TBH, $349 for the set is basically the standard price for JB considering how often they have gaming/logitech/etc sales. It's only really the extra 5% that even makes this deal noteworthy. I almost didn't post it because I expected negs for 'this is standard price and not a deal'. Looking at past deals and this price isn't even JB's cheapest.
