  • You could try match the deal back to JB with the GHM and get 5% off with Wicked Wednesday.

    • not sure if they're willing to throw in GHM

      • Always worth a try :)

  • Might get this + switch game for $400 + amex $100 cash back

  • JB HiFi doing the same deal in store and you can use an in store 5% coupon to get the same deal as HN for $323.95 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/347379). I can't confirm this is for every JB HiFi store so worth calling them to confirm before you go.

  • Bought the fitbit ionic + google home mini to use Amex cashback last month for 430.
    sigh…

  • Pretty expensive for a fitness watch. I was hoping it to be more of a smart watch. Disappointed

It has heaps of smartwatch features, check out Introducing Fitbit Ionic and from what I believe has the best battery life of any smartwatch available

      • It looks too big and not so conventional to wear at night.

    • Yeah, it's primarily a fitness tracker, which is Fitbit's strength. If they didn't do that side of things as well as they do then this would be a no from me, but throw in the price-drop and I'm keen.

That and the only LTE/4G smartwatch that's currently competitive (fitness tracker-wise) is the Apple Watch 3, which is iOS only.

      • It's not even doing a good enough job for a fitness tracker if it cannot differentiate between actual steps and typing on a computer.. I completed 10k steps and I was sitting at my desk all day. With an inbuilt gps I thought this issue would have been fixed but it's still like my old charge hr but just fancier.

        • I'd take it back for a replacement in that case. My Garmin Vivosmart HR wouldn't register typing, not sure why the Ionic would (since it's newer/likely better engineered).

        • I had a few fitbits and it NEVER registered typing on computer as a step.
Unless you type and move your feet at the same time or maybe.. type with your feet.
I own a Garmin 235 not and very pleased with just enough smart notifications, fitness tracking abilities, GPS and batter life.

  • Looks like the deal has expired - until the next time. ;)
