Just talked to Razer and came up with wicked deal for you guys.

    • Their shit is just so cheap, though in a bricks-and-mortar.

Presumably because they cut corners everywhere. Given Razer's abysmal customer service and MSY's reputation, buying a Razer product from MSY seems like a bad idea.

As you mentioned above, there are better brands with better peripherals.

  • With the link provided, is the 30% already discounted and that's the price or do we manually take of 30% of the price listed?

    • I think you manually take the 30% off because it’s in store? Not too sure

  • How long is this 30% SALE last ? 10 days ?

  • Can you do the same with any other peripheral company? Like for STeelseries i want to get Sensei 310 but its $99 and i know you guys can drop it down to 80-90… and you did 10% off SS in the past…

Prices have been jacked, some upwards of 20 or so percent, useless. All for this comment being true..

It’s like MSY just want the ACCC to come knocking now..

Negging to make others aware of this.

    • Are the prices on the website actually the same as the in-store prices? As MSY is not open yet it would require an ozbargainer to call a store to check before we make any assumptions.

From my experience the same prices have been both online and in-store.

Understand where you’re coming from, but to jack prices overnight is a clear indication it was for this sale. I gusss you can remove my neg if you would like due to speculation, but I’m sure the pricing in store would be the same before the discount.

Here's some proof by the way:

Razer Mamba Chroma: $158 Yesterday. $199 Today

        That's like a 26% price increase overnight..

        • I was looking at the $158 wireless mamba yesterday and also noticed it is now $199 today!
          Wow just wow
I am a big fan and customer of msy but this is poor form

    • +3

      That's poor form MSY!

  • +4

Rzer orbweaver chroma was $179 now $199 in MSY.

  • $94 for the 2016 Razer Black widow picked up in-store at msy Hurstville.
Looks like they have plenty of stock left at the moment.

The heck with the price hikes before sale?!

  • +2

Razer SEIREN PRO $353, can be found $279 elsewhere. Definite price jacking. Not much of a bargain.

So why don't you just lock the prices so it doesn't fluctuate up or down during the promotion period to stay fair and consistent and then re-enable your market tracker to follow current price fluctuations afterwards….?

    • …well that's what I would do anyways if I were running a shop front and had a promo running; I would disregard any future market changes during the promo period so I don't look like a dick if someone bought it for $200 and then suddenly the price dropped to $100 the next day during the promo period…..or it suddenly got jacked up to $300 when they was just about to enter their credit card detail: "Oh no, it looks like one of items you're about to pay for has just jacked up in price; the new price is now $300 instead of $200 after the promo discount!" And then when the promo ends, I re-align my prices with that it is with the current market and flow with that until the next promo period where I halt that again and repeat….

But eehhh, whatever, your shop you run the way you want it I guess….who am I to judge/tell what you do?

  • Pretty sad to see this sorta stuff still happening. Hope you get done for it and end up like Kogan
    Really bad form MSY!

  • I reported them to the ACCC.

Obviously they didn't learn the first time after recently being forced to pay a $750,000 fine.
