Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse - 'Stone' only $62.30 ($59.18 with 5% off Wicked Wednesday Coupon) @ JB Hi-Fi

680

The famous Logitech MX Master (Gen 1) for a great price as this is now a discontinued product. Sadly JB only have the Stone version in stock. Looks great with a Mac or other white themed setup.

Rocking the black version at work and I love it to bits.

Could possibly price match another store for the black version, hehe

Sale on the mouse ends on 10/12 but wicked wednesday coupon expires tonight 6/12

    • Mine had one black in store.

It was imported or from another country. It had a different language all over it :( LOoked used.

People have been price matching officeworks at $45 because there’s still stock around, see previous threads.

Very good mouse indeed. Sucked me out of the trackball world.

  • Where do we find/get the Wicked Wednesday coupon?

    • +3

You sign up to JB HIFI newsletter and you get a unique code emailed shortly after

      • I just signed up and got 50% coupon off jabra earphones, does the 5% email come after?

        • I signed up On Tuesday and the first email titled "Thanks for signing up to Instant Deals" had the code towards the bottom of the email

  • What has this been replaced with if this is now discontinued?

    • +1

      MX Master 2s

    • The Logitech MX Master S2

      • Ah ok, thanks. Wasn't aware that there was a new one available.

        • The new one has Logitech Flow which allows you to control multiple computers, even copy'n'paste from one to the other, its pretty cool actually

        • +2

          @StarForge:

Do it with any mouse using Microsoft Garage Mouse without Borders thanks to Max2010

        • @CVonC:

Ahh I didn't know, I'll take a look at that one thanks! I use a mix of Mac and Windows computers so Logitech Flow has been awesome

  • Anyone know which JB store still has the black in stock for Victoria? Or are they completely out of stock?
    Cheers.

    • +2

I suspect they are completely out of stock.

I went in the other day with a faulty mx master black for a warranty replacement. They apparently couldn't find it in stock in black and after some negotiation they decided to exchange for the 2s at no extra cost (originally paid $79 in a JB hifi sale. so very happy with their customer service!

fault was the ratched click wheel stuck in free spin mode. I would expect the mechanical cam that engages the ratchet to be more prone to failure than the PCB/buttons and sensors so not a big deal if fault rates are low but something to be aware of.

      • +1

Judging by all the reviews & longterm ownerships I've read the wheel getting stuck in free spin was one of the most common complaints. Aside from the phantom click which I've experienced on multiple mice Logitech has some poor QA and never bothered to use higher quality parts.

        • Apparently free spin wheel issue a really easy fix (search up on YouTube). I agree to the fact that 'fixes shouldn't be necessary and Logitech should have known better. Despite this, the mouse seems quite comfortable and injected with a plethora of features.

        • It killed my original M950 but that thing lasted about 5 years

        • +1

          @scanzy:

I had looked up the fix but it seemed to permanently lock the mouse in ratchet mode rather losing smart shift. Being still under warranty, the risk of voiding it trying to fix myself first was not worth it.

  • The only issue I have with these is that the mechanism which changes the scroll whelk mode sometimes malfunctions. You have to open it up and realign the piece so it will start working again.

Something you might want to consider if you are buying this and intend on using that function often.

  • I have one of these, was working fine for about 8 months - and when it first connects it’s fine then after a while it keeps jerking / lagging constantly. Using it on Windows 10 (dell computer)

    • Low battery? tried it on a different computer??

      • Battery is fine.. haven’t tried it on another computer yet

    • On a laptop or a desktop?

If on a desktop I have to put it on the desk same surface of the mouse instead of at the back of the desktop computer. I found that caused problem with a lot of wireless mouse.

      • Desktop, next to the computer (within 0.5 metre) connected up the a dell XPS 8920 using Bluetooth

        • Desktop, next to the computer (within 0.5 metre)

Under the desk or on the desk same level as the mouse? Because my desktop is under the desk I have to use a USB hub to put the receiver on the desk surface.

Or try use the receiver instead.

        • @superforever:

I didn’t get a receiver with my mouse… it’s on the same level as the desk

        • @DanielR:

MX anywhere or master should have a receiver in the box. I found that receiver is better than bluetooth.

If you have another nano receiver there is a way to pair it with another device.

        • @superforever:

Yes the Master comes with a unifying receiver as well.

Do yourself a favour and pricematch Officeworks for $45. I ended up getting this mouse for $25 using the $20 off coupon after returning the mouse for $59 to GET the coupon.

    • +1

You can't price match if there's no stock nearby

      • I did it in Sydney. There is no stock anywhere within NSW.

        • Didn't work for me in Melbourne unfortunately. There's none left anywhere in Melbourne apparently

        • Did you try at another store to get a price match?

        • +1

@steff: Try different store or same store but different staff which is I did in the last three days :)

    • no stock anywhere in metro melbourne.

    • @Tuttorix How did you get the $20 off coupon? I would like to know how this rule work?

  • I bought this yesterday at JB. Talk about buyers regret. This damn mouse is heavy as sh*t.
I only bought it because of the reviews and I needed a bluetooth mouth.
What a waste of money. Hopefully I get use to the weight.

    • +7

You bought the wrong product. This is a mouse not a mouth.

    • +1

What makes you not like it?

      I love mine, it's amazing.
Work provided me with wired Mac mice and it's just too small for me and I honestly do not like the track ball idea. (just not used to it I guess).

      Would not switch back ever.

I'm actually tempted to buy this as a replacement, claim it on tax and keep the one I have as a spare or sell it.

I could even use it with my laptop… Hmm

      • I just don't like the weight. It's currently being used as a laptop mouse.
Going to take it back to JB tonight and see if I can get a store credit since I've already used it

        • You'd want the MX Anywhere 2 for a laptop mouse.

        • @CVonC: JB let me exchange the mouse. I got the M720. Ended up being the same price. The weight is much better than the MX Master. I did think about the Anywhere but it was a bit too small.

        • @Af1r:

The M720 is a lot cheaper than MX Master RRP.

    • As soon as the mouse is smooth to move around, I think weight doesn't really matter.

  • Wasn't this $39 at Officeworks for the past week or two??

    • I have heard $45, how come $39 now. are you day dreaming. The RRP of this was $139 or $149 !!

      • Apparently you can't edit comments now, and I can't find the $39 deal, but the $45 is still there, which means this is only a bargain if you want to pay more to buy online. I would neg vote but mods just delete all negative votes anyway…

        • No stock anywhere from OW is the problem.

        • For the hardware compared with other mice on the market, anything under $50 is a bargain on this mouse.

  • +1

Thanks team, got a gen1 (Stone) for $45 at JB Canberra Outlet Centre price matching OW.

    • +1

Do you reckon you can post a pic of the docket so the rest of us can try or ozbargaining skills at or local jb? Cheers

      • +1
        • Thanks. I went down yesterday anyway and unfortunately no stock already. I'llsee if I can find a store with some stock today and try my luck.

  • I have the mobile version and I love it. it's the best mouse I have ever owned.
