    What is the write speed?
Having 100MB/s read is good, but without a good writing speed, it might not be a good deal.
I have seen many cards/drives with 100MB/s read, but write speed around 10MB/s

  • do they have anything suitable for a dashcam on special?

    • Need a cheap microsd as well for my dash cam!

      • In the same boat here

    • Can you please advise What is the specific requirements for dashcam? I thought any class 10 MicroSD card should have worked?

      • high endurance and 4k Id imagine would do the trick

    • I've successfully ran the SanDisk Ultra in my dashcam. Is there something more appropriate pointnlarf?

      • for how long? you can successfully run just about any micro sd card in a dash cam….. high endurance is most appropriate for the job…:) dont you think?

        • First one failed after 2 years, Second one has been going for 6 months. Will look into a high endurance option.

  • Showing AUD 30.41 for me, and no place to enter coupon ?

    need to know writing speed

  • Write speed is up to 18MB/s according to reviews, which is normal for this class of card.

  • So I’m guessing this won’t cut it in a dash cam?

  • i bought this locally for $20 exact, or maybe different type? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/344338

Quite possible you got that card for $20 if its the 80MB/s card. That model is a few years old now, replaced initially by the 95MB/s card, and now the A1 card. This price for a 64gb A1 card is damn good.

I've used the 16gb 95MB/s (read rating) card and the A1, and the write speed on the A1 is slightly better (13-15MB/s sustained write as opposed to 10-12 for the 95MB/s rated cards). The A1 standard is min 10MB/s write and 1500 IOPS (which is the main purpose of the rating for mobile device usage).

I have seen different read/write speeds for similar rated cards depending on the capacity - larger cards typically perform better than the smaller capacity/cheaper cards.

These cards are fine for mobile devices (incl Switch), Raspberry Pi's (though perhaps in a smaller size for basic usage) and extra storage for laptops (I have an older 64gb in my laptop for iso's and the like), but wouldn't recommend for GoPro (myself and several friends have had issues with ultra's stopping recording after a few minutes after a bit of usage).

  • Good deal, wish there were some local deals to get one soon rather than waiting weeks for post (or paying extra for quicker shipping).

  • Suitable for the Nintendo Switch?

  • Was thinking i needed one of these following the Bayonetta 1&2 announcement yesterday. Cheers!

Cheaper one with 60MB/s write and 100MB/s read
    https://www.gearbest.com/memory-cards/pp_279099.html?wid=21&…

  • it depends on which dashcam you have, If it's only a 720p in a rearward cam then this card will be ok. I use one of these in my no-name 1080 front cam and it's ok. Don't think it would work in a 1440 though.

  • Caved in and got one, the USB adapter is really handy and I've lost most of the ones I have.

  • Pretty sure it would be SDXC not SDHC as SDHC can only support up to 32gb and it even says SDXC in the image.

  • Micro SD cards lead to more raspberry pis, leading to more random spending plz stop these awesome deals!

    • I have this same prob.

  • I'm guessing these aren't selling out like the samsungs because of the write speeds?
